From all the chatter it sounds like Portland is leaking all kinds of stuff trying to boost the value of their assets. The whole Batum is worth more than the 4th seems entirely fishy. Waiting to hear from them that Pendergraph is untouchable.

I don't even think Sportsnet has any real Raptors reporters, so I'm guessing it was just someone overnight embellishing the ESPN rumour for their ticker.

I seriously doubt this happens. After some consideration, I think BC will try to move up, not down unless he's unloading a bad contract.

The only interest I would have in this is if it involved shipping out Calderon or Turkoglu going to the Blazers and getting Przybilla and Pendergraph or Patty Mills back.

Pritchard is in a tough place as he's only got about a week left in his tenure. GMs should put the screws to him in any deal.

If you go to Raptors.com watch the raptors draft preview show, and count how many times it was mentioned that the guy you want at 13 may be there at 22, and see if you don't think BC would be seriously considering getting Rudy for the opportunity to pay the draft pick less. If they want Ebanks, a rebounding defensive SF, who everyone forgets has been in twice just like Cole and Bradely, and 13 is too high, why not solve that problem by getting Rudy for nothing.

Would dealing for Rudy Fernandez essentially solidify the fact that Calderon is staying and Jack will be the PG that will be dealt?

How does him being a lame duck affect things? He has claimed publicly he'll still do a really good job. In any case, there will be heavy scrutiny on his moves, so very unlikely he screws up..

Why would it, because Jose's from Spain too. BC is not building Noah's arc here.

There doesn’t seem to be a lot going on at the 13th pick. It almost seems like BC really has to move up, move down, or move out. Deal the pick if it can help unload a bad contract. That would likely have a bigger long term impact on the team than whoever we could get at 13 in this draft

I know, I don't need to be snarky, but I think the only person BC tries to make happy with other players was Bosh. He may try to make players comfortable, for reasons of results, but I do not believe getting Rudy would mean Jack would be dealt. Maybe Jack get's dealt due to fetching a better return?
