He literally only can do one thing and that is put his blubbery body on someone and be physical with them. He's not really a shot blocker, he isn't really agile. He isn't quick or long. His offense has nothing. He can't even hit a 5 foot jumper, he has no jump hook, he has no up and under, no dribble, no moves.

If Boston had a real center they may have won the series against the Lakers.

Plus I'm not a big fan of one dimensional players anyway. I know everyone is obsessed with a defensive big right now, but I'd rather get a better player who has offense too.

I agree. I would definitely rather have Hawes starting than Perkins

Is there a team that would even accept a Young for Aldrich pick trade?

I'm still afraid of Aldrich.

Aldrich seems like a more complete package than Perkins.

I agree.

The only three things I would give Perkin the edge in is having winning experience, being stronger than Aldrich, and being more intense during games.

What are you afraid of? Other than Turner, Wall, and maybe Wesley Johnson, Aldrich is the player with the [highest basement] in this draft.

Well I'd hate to upset the pc police but (and I could totally be wrong) I don't remember too many american white big men that really work out that well, especially when their defining trait is toughness.

Yeah why base anything on history? I'm shocked you finally posted something that has nothing to do with anything just to pick on someone elses post.

Aldrich would be useless on the perimeter. When he setsup for his shots even an old lady could block his shot since he brings it all the way to the back.

Brad Miller is the only one you could say has a toughness to his game, do you want to draft a Brad Miller? I don't.

Yeah I'm not saying they're all that tough, just the ones I could think of white American big guys with any game playing right now. I don't want Brad Miller either.

Well one David Lee is a PF on any good team and he is not known as a tough player. I never said anyone has "zero" toughness since it's pretty useless to apply a number to it but I would say he is on the lower end when it comes to C's.

Zero toughness on the defensive end.. I don't care if he was playing out of position the whole year, hes just a cardboard cut-out on that end.

I know what you're saying, it's hard to seperate the people who don't realize it's 2010 now and freak out when anyone mentions anything about race.

That's not 'history' it's a stupid generalization that's not worth taking seriously.

And I'd love to see you tell Brad Miller he's not tough. He went from not getting drafted to making 2 all-star teams as a big in the West. He got there by working his ass off and being one of the toughest guys in the league.

History of unrelated, non-correlated things as a drafting strategy.

Hmmm, like the Sixer's history with the number 2 pick - Bradley, Shawn, Van Horn for Tim Thomas, yes, very reliable, we should trade the second pick on that historical basis.

Don't pick big American white guys because they aren't tough, got it. History shows it apparently. Wonder if the NFL knows about this? Someone please tell them.

Someone quick look up how guys named Cole have performed in the NBA, that would help predict the guy's career too I suppose. OTOH, I suggest drafting Larry Sanders because historically Larry Bird was a good player (despite being white and tall of course, there are exceptions).

Wow, that sounded kind of moronic, just like the original premise.
