Yeah, but imagine if we could add one of Whiteside, Alabi, Bradley, Sanders, Aldrich to our core as well.
And also do the Beasley deal lol

PG: B. Udrih, K. Hinrich, #33
SG: T. Evans, F. Garcia
SF: M. Beasley, O. Casspi, D. Greene
PF: C. Landry, J. Thompson
C : D. Cousins, S. Dalembert, H. Whiteside

A future lineup of

PG: T. Evans, B. Udrih
SG: (FA such as Reddick)
SF: M. Beasley, (One of Casspi or Donte)
PF: C. Landry, J. Thompson
C : D. Cousins, H. Whiteside

I like this more than OKC

I agree with you. Beno seems to fit better with the Kings.

I'd do Hinrich and #17 in a heartbeat, but I love Hinrich (and think he'd be a perfect fit with Beno and Tyreke), so.

Truly sick on the defensive end of the floor.

Does it really matter? Who's actually gonna come here when they can go to Miami, Chicago, OKC, hell even New York has a better chance of attracting a FA then us!

I think we need to just plug pieces in whenever we can, ala the 2002 team.

Different ways of effecting the game though. Hinrich is a legit all NBA defense type of player. He can guard both PG and SG and would take a lot of defensive load off of Tyreke. Tyreke can't be expected to guard the other teams best player every night.

Not just a FA thing though, it also effects the trade possibilities. I think if the Kings get a major name guy it's most likely going to come in the form of a salary dump, draft pick, and prospect for a star type of deal. Also, I think if we make a splash in FA it might come next year and Hinrichs deal effects that to a great degree. If we re-sign Landry and Daly we probably only have 7-10 million left at that point, maybe less.

Dally expires at the end of the year so I'm not too worried about our cap number. We only have 8 guys under contract. After the draft we will have at least 9. We will be right at the cap once we fill out the roster with vets everyone forgot about but still can play.

I'm leaving for Kings Draft Party at Arco in an hour. Today is all about making this a playoff team again!

Agreed ICMTM! I think Petrie realizes this. So you'll hear alot of rumors of us trying to get deals where we absorb contracts etc. All of the major teams are gutting out their roster for more capspace. It's going to be hilarious watching those teams get only one player who was at the top of the list. It's going to be Bosh/Gay..Lebron/Lee...Wade/Boozer...Amare/JJ

Anyway, Petrie's positioning hisself for talent. OKC is the mark. And after we draft Cousins, persons will see what the plan was all along

And that's likely to happen. So far I haven't seen teams gut major positions yet however.

Still, I'm assuming Landry and Dalembert are at least possibilities to be re-signed and depending where our pick is next draft that could be another 3-4 million. Could get really sketchy. Not to mention it's going to come time to extend Thompson. If we draft Cousins or Favors one of Thompson, Landry, or Daly has to go this season, too many bodies. Way worse crunch than last year because a number 5 big should most likely be a legit starter right away.

5 is Cousins, after that this entire draft takes a turn and NO ONE has any idea what's going to happen.

Picks available for sale/trade:
16
17 (if Wiz thing falls through, although looks solid now)
18
19
21
23
25
26
28

If they get a second in the teens, it very well could be Whiteside or a guard they like (Warren, White, Williams, Crawford).

Indy/NJN discussing Granger +10 for Harris +3

New Jersey I'm reading doesn't like Favors or Cousins. I don't see why they just don't draft Johnson? I think Indy gets the better of this deal by a longshot!

If that NJN and IND trade goes down do you think IND takes cousins?

How does this make Indy better? O_O

Granger/10 > Harris/Favors IMHO
