It will be better for him to play for a good team europe for a few years than to play in the d-league

News straight from Wilbon - he's playing here in DC this coming season.

During the interview with reporters, Seriphan was wearing a Bulls cap, but talking about how excited he was to be in Washington. And from what I hear, he really, really wanted to play for the Wizards. Tommy Sheppard and Milt Newton went to see Seriphan in Treviso, Italy a few weeks ago and came away impressed. Seriphan came away thinking that the Wizards really wanted him.
Unable to workout because of a minor knee injury, he visited five teams in six days last week, including Washington, Oklahoma City and Cleveland (which I heard was looking to get the 20th pick in order to take him). But I heard that when he visited Washington, Seriphan told Grunfeld, "You have to take me! You have to take me." From witnesses in the room, Grunfeld apparently smiled and told him he might be able to work something out.

Seriously, I bet OKC was going to grab him. They traded up to 18th and then dumped the pick to the Clippers. If they needed anything, it was another big and they already did well with Ibaka (you know they didn't need a guard or a wing).

I don't think Ovechkin(sp?) spoke much English when he started with the Caps. Maybe the Wizards should pry Peitrus from the Magic to serve as translator

Great point. Looks like Ernie snatched him right of Presti's clutches.

Almost totally unrelated, almost totally irrelevant to this thread, but did you know Cousins doesn't even have a license? That guy would need a chauffeur just to get to practices and games on time.
