I still like the idea of a Baron, Kaman, and the Wolves pick for Bosh and Calderon.

The Raptors get a PG uprgade, a center that lets Bargnani move to a stretch PF, and a great future pick. They can start Baron, DeRozan, Turkoglu, Bargnani, and Kaman.

We start a better shooting PG that doesn't dominate the ball, and get Bosh to help draw LeBron here.

3way trade:
OKC gets Kaman.
NO gets Aminu, Jeff Green, MIN's future first, and 2010 first round pick from LAC.
LAC gets Chris Paul.

Then send Baron to NYC for a future 2nd round pick.

New lineup:
PG - CP3/Bledsoe
SG - Gordon/Warren
SF - Posey
PF - Blake/Gooden?/Smith?
C - DJ/cheap FA or undrafted rookie

Would Lebron come to the Clips now with this team? We basically traded Baron and Kaman for CP3 and Posey.

I like the premise, but we would surely have to include Gordon to NOH, and that would be a lot of SFs for NOH.

I too think we should resign Livingston. This would allow one of our resent combo guard draft picks to move down to PG/SG

I would also trade B. Davis straight up for indies Murphy
sign a pg like R. Felton, CJ Watson, or resign Blake
Sign free agent SG Anthony Morrow
Resign Outlaw
Sign Sofo
Sign a few players for vet min

PG Felton(Watson, or Blake), Livingston, Bledsoe
SG Gordon, Morrow, Warren
SF Outlaw, Aminu, FA min vet
PF Blake, Murphy, Sofo
C Kaman, Jordan, FA min vet

PS The Clippers are not getting Lebron James, its been reported all over the net that he has all but made a done deal to sign with the Bulls, along with Bosh. Cant be finalized util the 8th

So now that that daydream is over with there is still a lot the clipps can do

Even read a rumor of trading Kaman to Dallas for Erick Dampier and a First round pick, then cutting Dampier, giving the clippers another 13 million to Spend on someone like Amare Stoudemire. Just one of many options now open to the clippers now that Lebron James is not heading to LA.

I personally think that LA had the most to offer James combining opertunities on and off court. Personnally I think signing anywhere esle just cost him millions in indorsement and tv deals. But after LA, and NY, Chicago is a decent city.

We value him very highly. He has an extremely high ceiling, even though he is still very raw. He has the potential to be a very good defensive center, and he throws down highlight dunks on a nightly basis.

Philly has a few players of interest, but those are probably the players who PHI won't trade (Holiday, Turner, Iggy)

I would trade Iggy for Kaman straight up if that interests LAC fans.

I would also trade Thad Young plus a future protected 1st (like top 3 protected) for Jordan.

I don't know enough about Jordan's ceiling, so that's why it may seem like I'm trying to undercut his value.

I think the first deal makes a ton of sense though. It would allow Jordan to step into a starter's role next to Griffin (sp?) and you'd have a sick linuep.

Jordan
Griffin
Iggy
Gordon
Davis

That is actually very good. lol. Can we swap rosters??

Meanwhile, Philly would roll with..

Kaman
Brand
Thad
Turner
Jrue

Not too shabby.

The Clippers want to add to their current core, so Kaman for Iggy won't happen IMO and i wouldn't want to do that.

That other offer, Young + future 1st for Jordan is something i'd be thinking about, but i doubt a lot of posters in here would agree and our management wouldn't as well.

I just don't think that the Clippers and Sixers are good trading partners right now, as long as you don't want to get rid of Igouadala's contract and are interested in something like Iggy for TPE + future 2nd rounder.

The Kaman/Iggy idea has been thrown around a lot, but we would then need a C, which is harder to find. Though, still I might be open to it, since I'm really like Iggy.

As for the second deal, I would also consider it. I think Thad is a decent player who is still young and has some potential. I like the future first too. It would be hard to move DJ, but this is tempting. Still, I'm not sure if the Sixers would do it though.

Nope. Not worth it. Plus we just traded a future first to get Bledsoe, so that really limits any ability to trade a future first.

Hey wondering but is Kaman available? Eventually Jordan is going to be the starting C regardless.

No, Kaman isn't available right now, after having that all-star season.

Yeah, but if you look at those offers it's either salary cap and something worse or a sf, which are easier to come by then centers.

I mean, what realistically do you expect other teams offering for Kaman?
And how do you think would make it the Clippers a better team?

I agree that realistically there may not be a good trade for us. I wouldn't ever try to unload Kaman, but in the long run I am really hoping DJ is our future center. Not nearly as good offensively, but athletic, dynamic and (hopefully) good at the defensive end. Kaman is a pretty good NBA center, but the idea of BDiddy and him on the floor together is like night and day. And with the rest of the roster, I would rather go with speed and athleticism than Kaman's solid but slow low post offensive game.

I'm certainly not expecting a center of equal level back in a trade. But if there was a team out there who thought they just lacked a true center to compete for a title, who knows. Unlike BDiddy, I think Kaman has net value overall since his contract is not so bad. This is just a fantasy of mine, so I don't go looking through rosters to try to put together potential trade partners and trade assets.

Of course, DJ is not ready to start yet, and it still remains to be seen if he will develop into a NBA starter. His offense will always be worse than Kaman, but he has at least potential to be a good defensive, hustling center who will get hustle points and putbacks with his athleticism and long arms alone. The net result could be a better Clipper team, regardless of which player is individually better.

I say we trade Kaman and get Iggy and sign David Lee.
