12th pick, 25th pick, and 28th pick to the Jazz for the 9th pick?

Don't really see the point in doing that for Memphis. The difference between 9 and 12 is diminutive at best. Plus it would likely mean that the Grizzlies would be taking Babbitt. I'd much rather take Paul George (who is a significantly better prospect than Babbitt IMO) at 12, a point guard/combo guard at 25, and a PF/C at 28 than come out of the draft with only Luke Babbitt.

I would think there's a good chance of AF Aminu being available at 9.

I squandered an asset? Then Hammond taught me well.

Pass. Don't think the Grizzlies are interested in lateral moves.

If they are stuck on Mayo as a SG I'd do it.

Any hope in Memphis picking up a starter quality PG?

Somewhere in these Grizzlies topics is a link to a recent interview with Lionel Hollins. In it he said that the team was looking to add a backup pointguard to play behind Mike Conley. I think that unless a no brainer offer came their way for a different pointguard we will see them add someone either through the draft as a backup but not as a starter. I don't see them aggressively pursueing a different starter but you never know.

By the way I see that Avery Bradley sprained his ankle right before his scheduled work out for Memphis so they won't be able to evaluate him. Bad news or good?

Do you mean for the future or for right now? I honestly don't think any of the starters were the problem last year. The bench on the other hand...

I would have to change my question then. Who would be a good backup PG that the Grizzlies could target, but isn't in the draft? I'm looking at all the available PGs in 2010, but I don't see a capable shooting backup for the Grizzlies.

From the CA:

Memphis' goal still is to come away from the draft with an impact player, if not a star.

There are indications that the Griz have joined a long line of teams trying to convince the New Orleans Hornets to part with one of their point guards: Chris Paul or Darren Collison.

If we could replace OJ for Gay S&T, I would be all for it.

Hornets already have Marcus Thornton who can produce 80% of O.J.'s production on a dirty cheap contract.

So it´s a win-win if keep OJ out of a potential Chris Paul deal?

Only way to get CP3 is to give up Mayo or Gasol imo

Hi folks, Clipper fan here.

Would you be interested in a pick swap?
We're discussing on our forum that moving down wouldn't be all that bad and with you guys holding those three first round picks, maybe there's something possible.

So how about:

#8 for #12 + #25

?

Cheers Det

I wouldn't do it because the guy I want (Xavier Henry) should be available at 12...but I'm not going to mad if it happened.

I'm all ears waiting for you to explain how this improves the Grizzlies.
