No offense, but I suggest growing a pair then. Stephen A. Smith sounds overconfident on everything he ever says. That's just his personality.

thanks man, I got a pair. Thats the kind of hard guy talk we get from the Knicks board. Raise yourself and drop the arrogance. Everything is in play. Nothing is out.

His opinions are blustery. Thats different. He says hes using an old source, and as JackFinn says, he is very confident in the source.

Says that the Bulls will sit down with LeBron, present to him their roster situation and the young core, which no other team can offer, and they feel confident that their pitch will be a strong one.

They will be able to move Beasley. Should be much easier than moving Deng. With the way rookie contracts are right now, you can take a risk on the Beas and not even extend him for another year with where he's at right now.

This is what I'm afraid of, some dumb team willing to absorb Beasley and thus triggering Judgement Day, aka, the Nuclear Option. I confess I'm really afraid of Miami, much more than the Knicks.

easier than deng??? Hum. Not sure about that.

Quick, we need to start a firestorm of negative Beas rumors about ANYTHING, his sexuality, taste in clothes, inability to hold his bladder during long games, that during the offseason he performs in an ABBA tribute band, Anything that will make another team go.."wait a sec". Of course, Beas has done a pretty good job of that without our help

lol....did anyone post this interview a Miami journalist had with SAS today:

JS: Who's more likely to walk without needing a sign & trade?

SAS: LeBron is willing to walk -- the Cavaliers are not inclined to help LeBron bye any stretch. If they lose LeBron there nothing they can do -- they might as well start from scratch. They will have lost a superstar and a home grown product.

Again, this is highly likely. With LeBron you can't be 100 percent sure. As this report circulates the pressure on LeBron will mount and with a guy as fickle as him I wouldn't say anything is a done deal until he signs.

To me that sounds like SAS is already planning his route to backtrack if/when his report doesn't come true.

Miami IMO is a serious contender, they have a great warm climate state with lots of nightlife and fun things to do, no state taxes which should add a mil or so a year for all the games played at home. They have Pat Riley, who, love him or hate him, is a good coach (assuming he comes back to coaching) they have a shot at signing the most FA's if they can move Beasley. If your talking strictly from a basketball perspective I think the two best teams FA's could sign with are Chicago and OKC, OKC doesn't even enter into the conversation because its a small market team. I worry that Miami has a lot of appealing factors, I hope that playing with Wade is considered a negative by camp James just because he is another alpha like James and they may not like playing together.

I would have thought the same, but with the reports of numerous owners rejecting Beasley for picks makes me think it's not as easy as everyone thinks.

His report wasn't really an attempt to predict anything in the sense that you're talking about. He's reporting that LeBron has decided on this and that it is a done deal. He's reporting it as news. As in, everyone else move on, LBJ and Bosh are basically members of the Heat.

Well, Miami asked for too much in return IIRC. They should be able to move Beasley for capspace alone.

Jordan never fully understood basketball. He had the lowest basketball IQ of any NBA "superstar" in history.

Seems like no other journalist has been willing to pick up and run with this story thus far... will be interesting to hear some of the other guys comment on it as the days go on...

I'm sure the majority of the responses will be something to the effect of Chicago, Miami, Cleve, etc. are all in it, and that Miami definitely has a strong case.

If you somehow got Lebron I say its much more like you will get Boozer than Bosh.

SAS, Jim Rome says you're wrong. He can't see LeBron playing with Wade. Who is more credible? You or him?

Is there a third option?

Their stats would take big hits, fwiw. They averaged around 60 FGA and 30 FTA last year. Cleveland, for instance, averaged 86 and 27. Not that rings don't make up for that.
This is why I wouldn't bet on that Rose-Johnson-LeBron-Bosh or Lee thing. And I think it's reasonable to assume Rose would be willing to take a backseat to LeBron and Bosh, regardless of whether we agree with the extent of that.

In this cases, SAS, because if Rome is just spouting an opinion and not referring to sources, then Smith is more keyed in.

That being said, WWW was the source saying Bron two the Bulls two days ago, and yesterday the NY Times said Bron to the Bulls was considered a done deal with the source of an unnamed EC executiv, so we'll see.
