how much is T-Mac asking for?

what do you guys think of Iverson? he said he wanted to play again this season.
im positive he would only take the minimum, since i believe thats what he took with Memphis and Philadelphia last year

with all this talk about players that can really help us out, I get the feeling that we will resign Fish and Mbenga, then some mediocre combo guard for the vets min and that will be it. I don't see us spending the MLE or getting anyone else. book it.

T Mac thinks he's still a starter and Iverson still doesnt want to practice, I say the hell with Iverson and if TMac realizes he's not a starter I would sign him for a Vet min.

I don't get why you guys wouldn't want Redick. He's shown that he can be a playmaker this season, he's improved his defense and he's a lights-out shooter. He could easily start next to Kobe.

Greek economy has tanked so Josh Childress is headed back to USA to become available for free agency. Talks that the Celtics are very interested!

I would love Reddick, perfect Tri PG. Perfect age and mindset to work with this system and team as well. I hate duke, but I would love to see him in PnG. Guy flat works hard. They say he's #1 in their conditioning drills every year, can shoot the lights out, and I've been impressed with his defense.

BUT

Drew Gooden's deal is a pretty good indication of what's about to happen with most of these guys.

$$ and we ain't spendin...

If Drew Gooden got the full MLE, there is no way in hell Mike Miller will sign for 3 million dollars. I don't get why you keep acting as if this is a possibility. Even before Gooden got the full MLE it wasn't possible, and now that the bar has been set by Gooden there is absolutely no chance players like Mike Miller sign for anything less then the MLE. A lot of the posters here need to start being more realistic, and lower their expectations to signing players who want to go ring chasing. If the Lakers are set on adding a guy like Mike Miller though, then they will need to offer him the full MLE (which the Lakers don't seem to want to do with our already massive salary.)

I'd be ok with that, not much better we can do. Solid bench guys that should be more consistent and fit better then Farmar/Brown.

+1 Yeah those two definitely seem like they could give us more on any given night then Farmar and Brown do. However with Anthony Morrow expressing interest in the Lakers I'm curious about what the Lakers will do. If we could somehow end up with Steve Blake and Anthony Morrow this offseason then I would be more than happy.

The Lakers expressed interest in Morrow not that other way around. Morrow only becomes a serious option if Shannon leaves the Lakers. But Morrow is not likely to come to LA I can't imagine the Warriors letting Morrow walk away to the Lakers a division rival.

The ESPN story says seven teams called about him, and tha he would rather do and sign and trade.
Unrestricted free agent Raymond Felton has been contacted by seven teams as all signs point to him leaving Charlotte.

The next step may be if the Bobcats can get compensation for their starting point guard through a sign-and-trade deal.

"We would consider a sign-and-trade with the Bobcats if it would help them and Raymond as well," agent Tony Dutt said Thursday. "I was excited by the high level of teams that contacted us."

Dutt wouldn't name the seven teams, but the Bobcats weren't among them as they appear ready to make a change in the backcourt.

The Yahoo story said the Lakers might be interested, but that he might get more than they can spend. But if it is a sign and trade, then we wouldn't be adding any extra salary. I find it strange that the story would mention us just to say we thought he was expensive, if we weren't interested on some level.

To me, and I think to the average NBA FA, the first thing you do July 1 is going to be your top priority. The first thing the Lakers did was give fisher a contract offer. I think it's clear they're pretty much sitting pat, which is sad considering the MLE is more than enough to attract some quality guards. CJ Watson has a qualifying on the table for like 1.3 M and IMO he's better than any point we have on the roster.

so let's scratch off miller now on our list
