You guys screwed up, and it was your extreme love for Noah that will leave you in mediocrity for years to come.

The raptors lost him for nothing . You guys had the chance to trade him last offseason . But your GM was stupid enough to think he would resign . Your team roster Looks worst than the Bulls . Your franchise player is Andrea Bargnani . Talk about mediocrity

you do realize bosh was a UFA right? im sure as a raptor fan you know this.......right

Trade as in S&T!

Listen i wanted Bosh + Wade/lebron to goto the Bulls rather than Bosh+Wade in Miami.
And I think Bosh + Wade gave it serious thought; if the bulls pulled the trigger earlier with the Noah+TPE for Bosh, Toronto would have accepted, and Bosh wouldve too. Its because Chicago couldnt muster up enough that Toronto refused to S&T Bosh. Had you made the deal for Bosh, you guys could have got James or Wade immediately after. Thats just my opinion. Dont hate me, hate the situation!

First things first, Bosh is NOT signing with Miami without a S&T, i dont care what the reports are.
Bosh/Miami are just fronting to get the best deal from Toronto (ie. not giving up so much).

Secondly, had Chicago complied earlier, you guys COULD have quite possibly had Lebron/Wade + Bosh. Thats a fact.

This whole process dragging out has really hurt Chicago.

I know toronto is messed up right now, thats not what my post was about.

I just think Chicago could have had Wade/Lebron + Bosh if they had commited to trading Noah for Bosh earlier in the FA process!!!

Correct. The current composition of the Celtics is virtually identical to the title-contending Pistons teams of the several years ago. We've seen two teams in recent years compete at the highest level of the NBA, and defeat star-driven teams, with that model.

It can't be disputed.

KG is a shadow. If Boston has a "core 2" it is Rondo/Pierce, which relative to the other core-2 player combos in the NBA, isn't all that good.

Or Kobe-Gasol.

No, I wasn't referring to the Lakers. They have the best "core 2" in the entire NBA. But even with that, they require some wicked supporting talent to win titles.

Not only do you need two top 10-15 players, you need that plus at least one more top 25-35 player to win a championship, as well as balance and some depth.

The Detroit Pistons, the current Orlando Magic, and the current Boston Celtics prove that you are wrong. Teams can compete at the highest levels on the NBA without that formula.

KG is still a superstar.

KG is my favorite player in the NBA. But that is a preposterous statement given his current level of play. He's a high quality player. But he's not a superstar anymore.

His defense alone is amazing.

Not anymore. But its still good.

And Rondo right now is better than Rose (sad, but true), and may well be a top 10 player in his own right.

I'm not going to bother comparing Rondo to Rose, but I'll call out Rondo as a top 10 player as unmitigated poppycock.

The only real "non-superstar" team was Detroit.

And this year's Celtics.

And it had real close to 5 all-stars - Billups in his prime, 'Sheed and Ben Wallace just leaving theirs, Rip and Prince in their primes. Prince was a top 10 SF and he was the worst of the 5 - the "glue guy." It's not impossible to replicate - but the Bulls aren't close to that at this point, either - a PF and SG away.

I agree. Again, my entire argument is based on the premise that the Bulls get off their ass and pony up for Lee/Boozer and a solid shooting guard. That would give them 3 allstar caliber players, a top 7 small forward, and a good complimentary shooting guard to Rose. That's strong.
Once a pickle, never a cucumber again.

You're a troll that needs to understand how S&Ts work. Bosh must pick the team not your savvy GM. In fact, your savvy GM was so in the loop with Bosh that he held on to him too long, then he played hardball and alienated him and now is hoping to pick up scraps from Miami.

Oh and you didn't make the playoffs last year after we beat you in your own building...and Bosh had already started his Free Agency.

Come back when your team is relevant again. So see you never. This is your last warning to stop trolling the board. You don't see us on the Raptors board rubbing your abject, hopeless failure in your face.

You'll have to explain to us slow midwesterners how trading Noah would make Bosh want to come here.

He wanted to go to Miami, not Chicago.

Trading Noah would not change that.

And why do some Rap fans still think they had a say in where Bosh went?

Why do you keep thinking Tor had any say in where Bosh wanted to go? Trading Noah wasn't going to get us Bosh.

You know what would have gotten us Bosh? Bosh saying he wants to play in Chicago. Thats it.

1) if trading noah for bosh would have gotten us wade or lebron i think we would have done it
2) personally i don't like noah for bosh EVEN if wade comes too
3) if lebron stays in cleveland rather than go to miami i think it's likely that bosh wasn't a big factor
4) let's wait and see what toronto gets in return before we even think about criticizing the bulls FO. if they get crap back it's clear what our offer wouldn't have mattered 'cause bosh was intent on miami
