This deal, plus the re-signing of Amir for $7 mil per year, is just another sign that BC has no intention of a rebuild, despite the fact that it's clearly VERY necessary! We now have about $50 mil per year commited to Hedo, Bargs, Jose, Amir, Jack and Kleiza (if Nugs don't match), and ALL are on long term contracts. This can't even be considered a treadmill team, treadmill teams are at least borderline playoff teams. This is just a long term commitment to sucking a$$.

I don't get the complaints. Not like we signed an guy who's going to add 10 wins to our total. And if he did, he'd be a steal. He's young, it's a pretty cheap and attractive contract asset wise, and he'll probably just replace Turk who hopefully will be gone.

Again, people are complaining because we have Jose and Turk already on the books. I'm pretty confident at least one will be gone by opening day.

Or course we'll have to see how this shakes out, maybe BC will screw us with a middling team again, but at face value, he's adding a young, talented player...isn't that what you do when you rebuild?

And where is the brunt of the $50 mil......in the first 3 players you listed. Jack, Amir and Kleiza come up to just 17 mil out of the 50 mil. I guess this tell us where the problem really is.

If we could reallocate the 20 million dollars to players that fit I would be really happy going into next season. Really I just want to add a point guard and a vetern big to that group and I would be happy going forward.

Yep, what concerns us though is that there doesn't seem to be any intention of seeing those three go away. As I said earlier, this deal is fine, but it doesn't exist in a vacuum.

This is exactly what I've been saying. They are using the Kleiza signing to vent about the other guys but focusing it on Kleiza. He makes no difference to the rebuild process of playing the young guys.

wtf? deep bench player? he was offered 6 million by denver before he went to europe... you can guarantee other teams threw him some offers when he came back.
