According to my sources, Former GM of the San Antonio Spurs, who is now the new GM of New Orleans Hornets (NewEra) is close to hiring an Assistant GM who will no doubt turn a few heads in BAT 4.0....My sources say the two had a conversation last night and the other party was said to be very "honored" at the possibility of taking on the role. I've been sworn to secrecy not to mention the person until tomorrow when the deal will most likely be confirmed, but I'll just say this: This person is very experienced, respected among all, and has the capabilities to become one of, if not the best Assistant GM in the business.

The New Orleans Hornets Welcome TKF

Image"We are very excited to announce that TKF has accepted our offer as the Assistant GM of the New Orleans Hornets. TKF brings wisdom, patience, and experience to our front office and we plan on getting to work right away to accomplish our goal of bringing a championship to New Orleans."

It'll be fun to get TKF involved, nice pickup for your team newera.

Anyway, Portland has the 26th pick in the 1st round. I'll move up for the right deal or will trade out of the 1st round completely for a 2nd and a 3rd round pick.

Email me - savestheday1@gmail.com (let me know what pick number you have please).

The Spurs 22nd pick is up for grabs for any team looking for an additional first round pick. Looking to move down into the early to mid second round as well as an additional pick.

Email any offers (all will be considered) to bish1324@aol.com

On a side note it would be nice if we could get this started this week. I am going to Puerto Rico the last week in August and have no idea what kind of internet capabilities I will have when I get there.

Who wants to be my Assistant GM?

That individual needs to be a go getter (like coffee and my slippers), someone that is willing to do whatever it takes (like staying up all night to make sure their team don't get skipped) and who looks good in spandex.

Great perks and benefits. Pay is not negotiable nor available.

All in favor of us scrapping further judging and base our victories/losses based off what we have to start a new B.A.T. say "Q2N8 IS A HOMO!".

I really wanna get this new B.A.T. goin'. I'm going to be going on a cruise end of August and I have no idea if I'll be able to reach a computer. Let's get the ball rollin'.

A. I would like an assistant as well. Sort of need one really. Please send all applications to my PM box. Any naked pics WILL help your cause.

B. IMO, judging needs to go. I think we should do a power poll instead involving the GM's themselves.

Is this going to be a BAF or a BAT? Also, I love the voting polls idea. I think we should start doing that for the BAT 3, and just include noido/4pp's as well.

I agree with B. I think that we should just do the judging ourselves. After the draft is over the 30 GM's rank the teams 1-29 (excluding their team) and sends in the rankings to someone to tabulate the results. I think that is the only way that this will get done. We are the only ones that are committed enough to take the time that it takes.

Yes, thats a good idea.

Just brainstorming, but maybe something like this would work also.

The bottom X number of teams are not able to participate in the next build-a-team. Whichever posters want to take those spots need to judge.

Turning up the Heat In South Beach

Newly hired Heat GM and President of Basketball Operations Grand Master Moo (famous for turning around the 12-70 Nets and leading them to the Eastern Conference Finals in the same season) has quickly added one of the brightest young basketball minds to his front office as agreement was reached early today with Fury to become the Heat's new Assistant GM.

ESPN reported earlier this week that Fury may eventually replace Moocow as the GM of the Heat due to Moocow's ever increasing pre-occupation with his own self worth and a rumored desire for Sainthood, a report that Moocow would neither confirm nor deny.

"He is working with me to learn the position of GM, whether with the Heat or elsewhere," Moocow told ESPN Thursday. "I feel Fury has the tools to be a great GM."

---

In other news, the Knicks continued their free fall on Chris Paul's list of teams he wants to be traded to at no. 36 out of 29 teams. This is because the Knicks have no assets to give the Hornets in a deal.

Last call. If I don't have any more offers for the 17th overall pick by 9 o'clock EST, it's coming off the market. I need to start devising a draft plan.

Looking to either add an additional 1st rounder or trade down. (I am pick #15)

For additional 1st rounder:

I am offering a 2nd an 3rd in exchange for a top half 1st rounder and a mid to late round pick depending on the 1st round draft position.

If the Rockets are willing to put a statue of me in front of the arena (which will have to be renamed from the Toyota Center to the Moocow Center of the Universe) and address me as Saint Moo, I'll take it.

So you would relinquish complete control of the Nets to Fury and join me in running the Rockets? I would most certainly meet your proposed demands.
