I think we can do better than that.

Prince, 2010 2nd round pick for 2011 1st round pick top 7 protected + TPE.

I'm pretty sure we can't trade our 2011 First due to the future first we traded in the Bledsoe deal.

I think we should leave Aminu alone and give him some time to develop.
That might even need some stints at the D-League next year, but even if that happens, I still think he deserves a shot and at least two years.

Also, I wouldn't give up anything of greater value for Prince, who's had some injury problems last year, is in the last year of his contract and could walk next summer.
You should also keep in mind that the Pistons need to make room for guys like Jerebko and Daye, who play the same position as Prince.

We need a star, how can we get one? Or do we just go with this and hope that Griffin becomes one?

You don't get stars in free agency that often, and when they're available, they most likely won't sign with the Clips.
The guys you can trade for are most likely having some baggage, as they're either injury prone and on a big contract or aren't all that good and way overpaid.

That's why drafting good players and hoping that they turn out to be "stars" or special players is the way to go.

So yeah, we're hoping that Blake Griffin turns into one of those special players.

Here we go.

It will take a lot to get him, but as long as we have CP3 and Blake, our future will be very bright.

Would EG, Aminu, rights to Sofo, and Minny's pick get it done for CP3? Maybe we'll even take Posey's contact for TPE.

CP3/Bledsoe
Baron/Foye
Gomes/TMac?
BG/Smith
Kaman/DJ

Baron+CP3 would be very ineffective. we would need a SG with range if CP3 joins Clippers.
If we are gonna give up Kaman and take Okafor, deal is off for me.

Paul is a great player but in order to get him we have to give a lot and we would be downgrading in at least 2 positions and probably give up valuable draft picks, not to mention taking a horrible contract like Okafor.

Baron,EG,Gomes,Blake,Kaman is a better team than CP3,Foye,Gomes,Blake,Okafor

I dont think Clippers should go after Paul. We should go after Iggy or its hard but G.Wallace and Granger.

I don't think we have the assets to go after CP3. It just won't work because we'd have to move Baron to make room, and that's not going to happen.

However, I like the idea of trying to pick up an unhappy star from a bad team. Kinda like the Gasol move. So who else fits that bill? Not many stars, but some 2nd level players that could fit:

Granger
David West (If CP3 leaves then why keep him?)
Iguodala (Not all that into him.)

Kaman's probably our best asset. I'd hate to give up EG, but I would for someone like Granger. DJ, the MINNY pick.

Who else could we target?

We can trade Baron to NYC for Curry and Chandler.

Paul/Bledsoe
Foye/Chandler/warren
Posey/Gomes/tmac?
Blake/smith/cook
Kaman/dj

I've thought about a Baron to the KNicks trade too, but they just signed Felton to a big contract and I don't think they're interested in another high priced PG. And if they did, they probably have their sights set on Nash, CP3 or Tony Parker.

In making any trade proposal for Paul, I think the Clippers would need to plan to build the future team around Griffin, Paul and whatever player they can select with the Minny pick. If the Hornets insisted on receiving either Griffin or the Minny pick as part of the package for him, it could be a deal killer for the Clippers.

Kaman to the Pistons?

If Kaman was to be dealt to the Pistons, what would you guys ask for in return? Stay realistic.

Prince,Monroe and a 1st Rd.
I think Prince is near the end but, he would be good for a year or 2 as we transition. Monroe has looked good this summer, yet he still hasn't proven to be worth 82 games. He may be great, who knows. The 1st Rder is just insurance.

Prince Monroe and a 1st round pick? I think that's being unrealistic

I'd be happy with just Prince and Monroe

That's actually not bad... Prince and Monroe. I would consider that. Would anybody else instead of Monroe be interesting? Like Villanueva, Maxiell, Summers, or Jerebko? Or maybe two of them like Maxiell or Villanueva and Summers or Jerebko?

^ Probably not, Prince and Monroe sounds like the best offer to me.

I'd probably consider a trade of Monroe, Jerebko, and a first round pick.

No. Prince is expiring/overpaid. Monroe would be the centerpiece of the trade really.
