5 stages of grief by fans around the league..

The frustrating part is the HEAT fans that take the time to post on the HEAT message boards are the true fans but they are the ones who are called front runners because that is the only outlet where most of the frustrated non HEAT fans have. Yes the Heat have fans who are front runners. But this is certainly not the place to bring that argument because 99% of us are true HEAT fans. We were there from Ogg to Sherman to Glen to Grant to Khalid to Willis up until present.

I posted this elsewhere but I'll post it again. When I learned it in psychology they had 7 stages, and they can occur in any order or as a combination.

The 7-Stages of Grief

1. Shock

Wade and Bosh announce they are going to Miami. All ESPN analyst waive the white flag and concede that Lebron is also going to Miami. Everyone is shocked.

2. Denial

Fans doubt that Lebron is going to go to Miami and believe that his announcement will prove them right.

3. Bargaining

They beg David Stern to do something to stop Lebron from going to Miami.

4. Pain

The Decision is announced.

5. Anger

Self explanatory, the stage where almost all RealGMers are stuck now.

6. Depression

Deep into the NBA season they begin to realize that the Heat in fact are destroying anything that comes their way. Deep depression sets in.

7. Acceptance and Hope

They accept their teams miserable fate and only have hope to hold onto for the future. The hope? Being able to contend the next decade.

I disagree with #7. I think #7 has become #2 again. Denial that it will work. Denial in that we won't be able to handle Dwight Howard, Andrew Bynum, Pau Gasol & Kendrick Perkins. Denial that this team as constructed can play defense, rebound effectively & win a championship this season. I agree we don't have perfect pieces at Center and we're undersized at PF but my retort to this is that both those positions will be the front lines where Lebron & Wade will be constantly driving into drawing the whistles against.

Denial that this team as constructed can play defense, rebound effectively & win a championship this season. I agree we don't have perfect pieces at Center and we're undersized at PF but my retort to this is that both those positions will be the front lines where Lebron & Wade will be constantly driving into drawing the whistles against.

I just don't see acceptance and hope anywhere either. Even if we should win the NBA championship right away, people will still find reasons why we didn't deserve to win it all. I'm pretty sure the refs will soon be declared to be members of the Heat as well, book it.

Now you're just being childish, i don't think it's realistic that a team with a 36-38 years old Wade, a 34-36 year old Bosh, and a 33-35 year old Lebron can be a top contender. That's much older than Boston's big 3 right now. So no, other teams can have hope for that decade also, maybe as soon as 2016-2017. Seriously, I envy you guys, but i ain't gonna root for this team, ever, so i'm gonna pass on that last stage... (Mavs fan, lol). Well, unless you guys going up against the Jordan wannabe and his team, in that case, sweep the living crap out of them. S**t, so maybe i will root for them.

I think it's natural that fans hating, you'd do the same i guess. It's really not fair, i mean, this team has probably no weakness, you even have an above average interior defender, and a big man who can score in the paint, and also hitting the jumper... Penetration, mid-range game, shooting, superstars, good defenders, a talented coach, even a decent bench. I don't see how it can go wrong, i think the worst case scenario they win 3-4 championships in the next 6 years. Anyway, good luck for the season, and true Heat fans... Enjoy it. We'd all do the same, you're right about that.

Betting on some heat games is likely a waste of time, probably pay like 1/10 lol.

I am a raptors fan. I think Bosh is overrated (always have). But, I think that Lebron and Wade together is scary. I look forward to watching some heat games, I expect them to play some amazing basketball, I hope to see a real alley oop fest lol.

No, I'm saying #7 will happen sometime during the season (or after a few seasons). Also, according to Psychologist those range of emotions can happen in any order and in any combination.

LeBron and Wade can't play together. How can you share the ball?

Who are they going to fill out their roster with? They aren't going to win anything until they do!

Lebron/Wade/Bosh's egos will all clash, implosion for the win. Two top 3 players and a top 15 player will go nowhere.

2. Anger

THIS SUCKS, stop stacking the deck. This is not even fair. This should be against the rules. Screw LeBron, D-Wade sucks. LeBron legacy is ruined!! DAVID STERN INVESTIGATE THIS FOR TAMPERING!!

3. Bargaining

We should all root together against the Heat. Let's all team-up and avoid trading with the Heat.

4. Depression

The NBA is ruined. I can't watch anymore, I am depressed. Why do teams bother playing anymore? Now only 2 teams have a shot to the title, and every other team is screwed. This is bad for the NBA.

5. Acceptance

I've always been a die hard HEAT fan. LET'S GO HEAT!! MY NEW FAVORITE TEAM!!!!
