Easy for you to say; you're not trying to run a profitable franchise.

Anyway, it's much more likely that they bite the bullet in January, if it looks like one more piece and a few more tax dollars could put us over the top.

I'm not sure we do...we'll have Okur, Jefferson, Fes, Millsap and Kirilenko to play spot minutes. That said if one of those guys gets signed for the vet min (first choice: Etan Thomas) I won't complain, either.

We have our 2nd round pick Evans as well and James Augistine I predict will be at camp. These add to our big guys, so I don't see us needing any more.

Yeah I like both Evans and Augustine. I'd be cool with either, or both, filling out our big man rotation. Etan Thomas would be an interesting pick up as well. Maybe Josh Boone.

Evans is not a big man. He is tall but he weighs as much as a paper weight.

The 2/3 position needs AK more than the 4/5 position. And if we go with that, I think that means we need another big.

I thought Rasho signed overseas somewhere.
Luis Amundson still available????

Are we sure Fesenko's on board? It's been taking too long to resign a player whom reportedly has not received much interest from other teams...

Rasho I think signed with a team in Europe. Foyle has been with the Magic for some time now, trying to push Dwight Howard in practice.

If I were to choose, I'd take Boone or Thomas. Boone seems like a serviceable big. Not big on numbers, but can fill in.

Good question. It is taking forever, isn't it?

I wonder if we think we can get him for near the minimum, and he is trying to find someone willing to give him more than our baseline?

I think Boone would be a great fit. Big, tough, borderline dirty and definetly physical.

I have also been wondering about Fes. I think he is still over in Europe, and is no big deal to get back over here.

Boone would be a nice addition, I have no interest in the rest.

Given Utah's history of bringing back players who played for them before e.g. Raja Bell, Howard Eisley, Greg Ostertag, etc. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned one of Sloan's all-time favorite players who is not on any team's active roster right now and probably somebody the Jazz can always fall back on. He would be the most likely guy the Jazz would sign to fill the "big man" void.

After all that you don't say who the player is.

It shouldn't be too hard to guess who the player is. I shouldn't have to name him.
