I'm here! Sorry about the delay, I simply haven't been thinking of fantasy hockey for the past few months and I've been really busy at work. I'm totally ready for a Sept 1st draft, good luck to all.

WTH who is this errinstar? Sorry, I don't use the e-mail address that you had on file for me anymore. Come on now gentlemen, it's still early in August and I put it a lot of effort building that team last year and I've been away for most of the summer. I'm back now, I've found this thread and I'm ready to go now. I've been on RealGM for 8 years and I have 15,000 posts, Erin has 2 (no offense, I'm sure he's a great guy). I also was the guy who took 6 hours to do a full comprehensive analysis and predictions for the league prior to starting last year and I definitely proved last year that I am a very worthy and dedicated GM. I am the commissioner of 3 fantasy hockey league outside of this one - long story short I know what I'm doing when it comes to fantasy hockey and I'm a valuable, active and competent GM to any league. I don't think it's fair to boot me from the league when the draft doesn't commence until Sept 1st and I submitted my keepers in the league message board months ago.

For the record, my keepers are Staal, St. Louis, Hossa, Green, Boyle, Vokoun and Filatov. I'm back, active and ready to go.

As new league commissioner, i feel responsible to provide you a answer on why you were replaced:

before the league started multiple people tried to contact you threw provided addresses and avenues, and no one heard a word for you about anything. so we reacted.

July 31st was the due date for keepers to be submitted, and you were still in consideration up until August 5th, when your team was replaced by the replacement Errin.

you claim you posted your keepers "months ago" but on the older board your keeper post has been time stamped "by RoyceDa59 on Tue Aug 10, 2010 1:03 pm" - so lets not start lying to each other.

August 5th was the original date to start the draft (decided on April 12th 2010) by the previous commissioner - so you had ample time to be aware. it was not until August 4th that the draft was then pushed to September 1st - so with this being your first post in the league you would have missed the first 5 days of the draft without your knowledge.

either way, we all acknowledge your extensive fantasy profile, but from the perspective of dates and time, we pushed every deadline to the last day to try and accommodate you, before the concept of replacement became a last resort.

with this current situation, there are other options.

the league infact has an GM who is looking to be replaced, so a solution can be made quite easily. now that the draft has been pushed back, and the expressed desire of royce to remain in this league, (once i gain approval from both parties) Errin can take control of team MGD, and royce can take re-control of his (and the keepers will be adjuted)

if this appeases the league, in all acts of fairness, i shall implement this solution post-haste.

lol its not really up to a vote. i was merely stating the situation, and if anyone has a problem with it, i guess they can speak up.

i spoke with Errin, he has no problem taking over MGD's team, and is actually happy becasue it has a young black guy on it. (not sure what that means)

so ill give the post a day or two, to make sure whoever has a opinion to voice it, but come Wednesday ill make the change to the rosters.

I'm with Dan. Royce missed posting by all deadline dates so he can't argue about being replaced. If the draft hadn't been pushed back we would be a round in already and he wouldn't be able to make much of a case.
Everyone knows that this forum is where you check for updates and he didn't do that. If he was no longer using his email and wanted to remain in contact about the league he should have let someone know.

Just so all of you know, Royce has just quit the league. this is what he had to say on the old thread:

Hi league,

After much thought, I think it will be best if I resign as a GM of this league. I am approaching what will be the busiest winter of my life with work, gf and of course, sports! I am already in 4 other hockey leagues for money and I don't think I will be able to manage a 5th one accordingly. COXY, you are more then welcome to take over my team, with league approval. I thank you for a great season last year, it was a lot of fun, and I wish you all the best. I will definitely check in on the draft, but I wanted to give Coxy enough notice to prepare for the draft starting Sept 1st.

Good luck to all, and have fun. You'll still see my around on RealGM.

Now this leaves us with a small problem. we have another vacant team.

far be it for me to jump to conclusions, but this leads me to believe that he had no true intentions of ultimately returning to this league like he wanted.

noted in his statement above, i find it interesting that with one side of his face he wishes us all well, and with the other, he returns us back to the very same problems we had with him at the beginning. with no apologies for bailing 4 days before the draft.

So to fix this situation, i have effectively taken action.

i have declined the request by Coxy to enter the league - im sure Coxy is a fine person, but given the situation adding another person into our league we dont know isnt a point of interest of mine or the leagues.

effective immediately, GM Errin will again regain control of Royce's team (returning him to the original team he absorbed) and Errin's old vacant team will be replaced by someone i know personally.

ultimately i think this is the fairest, and fastest solution to our problem.

The Draft will commence September 1st with the timer starting at 12pm.

What a weird turn of events. First he drops off the face of the earth, misses the start of the draft (had it happened on the original time) and then is indignant upon learning he'd been replaced. All this, apparently, with full knowledge of the impending busiest period of his life. 4 days before the draft no less. I don't get it.

Dan, does the replacement manager's name rhyme with 'dyke ramble'? I certainly hope so....

My apologies for stirring up such a fuss, only to resign from the league. Not to get to personal, but I've had sudden and unfortunate news come up that will be absorbing a lot of my time moving forward (and for who knows how long). The reason I resigned is because II wont be able to properly manage my team, and theres nothing worse in a fantasy league than a lame GM. Regardless of the turn of events that lead up to my decision, resigning from the league with my new circumstances was the right thing to do. I'm sure your replacement will be fine, and at worst I knew Coxy was available and eager to join. I was most definitely excited to re-join the league, Bronx, those were my intentions. I'm sorry things have changed, but the league will be better off this way.

I'll peak in at the draft now and again to check it out. Best of luck to all, it should be a great fantasy season. Cheers,

Good question. I figured Dan would revert it back to my original choices. If Dan can do that, great. I hope it's not too late (a day before the draft). I'll send him an email just to give him the heads up. Havlat'll hopefully be mine to keep.
