Can't really argue what your opinion is.
As a Laker fan I think Kobe and Gasol should be higher... we didnt exactly win because we have tons of depth (besides LO)
Duncan is still in there.

Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

RealGM is what have you done for me lately. Kevin Durant just had a great FIBA run, thus he's ranked as the #2 best player.
1. LeBron
2. Wade/Kobe
3. Wade/Kobe
4. Howard
5. Paul
6. Durant
7. Dirk
8. Melo
9. Williams
10. Gasol
With Nash, Bosh, Yao (when healthy), TD, Amare filling out the next 5.

Durant is going to be the second best player in the NBA this year, he is going to average 33+ppg this year. He is legit. You need to be realistic when you don't put him in your top 5.

This is my list, but if Roy or Yao are healthy they easily overtake Pau. It's more like Roy/Yao - 10-11, Gasol/Nash 12-3.Wade2k6 wrote:RunMCR wrote:Stopped reading at Kevin Durant at #2.'

In reality I don't see Yao returning to that level for a sustained period, so I'd put Roy at 10 and Gasol at 11.
I can also see Durant climbing as high as 4 if he has a repeat season of ~ 30/60 TS%.

So basically you think that Tyreke Evans is a Top 14 player. That makes you dumb.

I don't see how someone can average 30/60 TS% and still people question whether he could be the 4th best in the league? I mean sure, he may not have great defensive skills, but he's above average. Putting that together with his amazing scoring (especially finishing) abilities, in his THIRD year in the league, I see him becoming 2nd/3rd best in the NBA.

Where does it say anything about predictions? In any case, if these really are predictions, you're the Miss Cleo of RealGM.

Why does everyone hate Durant so much? The dude's like 21 or 22, I forgot, and he's already throwing up 30 PPG at a pretty efficient rate. He's special, no doubt. Embrace it, fools. Guys like him don't come around all the time. A 6'10''ish that can literally do evreything.

Yeah, I hate it when people come into threads and tell the OP what the thread is about. Anyways, overall I can not find fault with your rankings, and agree with most of them.

Adrian Dantley did that 4 years in a row and no one in their right mind considered him a top 5 player throughout that stretch. There's a lot more to it than just scoring, and it's not like the league is void of top notch superstar talent.
LeBron, Wade, Kobe, and Chris Paul are all better play-makers and defenders than Durant, and more importantly, they've all proven themselves in the playoffs whereas Durant just flamed out pretty hard. Dwight Howard is the leagues best defensive player and while he doesn't produce as much on offense, he still contributes significantly on that end.
I wouldn't put Durant above any of those guys until he expands his game and starts showing that he can bring it in the playoffs.
