They hate Vujacic, Lukes deal is too long, Bynums too injured and not being moved anyway, LA 1sts are worthless, etc etc
Is this the team, as constructed, for the 3peat run?
The team that won in 2009 basically remained unchanged when they won in 2010. The only change we was replacing Ariza with Artest. The front office obviously has complete confidence in the core of the team (Kobe,Pau,Bynum,Odom,Artest,Fisher). No major changes were needed so all Mitch really had to do is fill the roster up with role players. Farmar was replaced by Blake who is a better fit for the Lakers anyway. The addition of Barnes was key because of the uncertainty surrounding Luke Walton and there won't be a need for Kobe to play minutes at the 3. Theo was another solid signing because he can reduce the minutes our bigs play especially if one of the main bigs get hurt.
The Lakers won back to back championships with Bynum playing a reduced role due to injury. Now imagine if he was never hurt. The Lakers would have dominated the competition and people would have been saying how dominant this team is. If he can stay healthy the Lakers are more than ready for the 3peat.
