Regular Season Record: 3-1

Baltimore Ravens vs New England Patriots
Sunday October 17th, 2010. 1:00 PM.
TV: CBS. Radio: 98.5 Sports Hub.

-What a hyped up game this is going to be. Plenty of storylines to look at. Moss being gone, Branch being back, and of course, the pats getting revenge on the Baltimore Ravens from one of their ugliest playoff losses of all time. Pats need to come out strong, flip the tables from last year.

Go Pats!!!

Really uneasy about this one. Hopefully the offense functions well with Brady spreading it around ala Brees and Pat Chung makes Flacco have nightmares. Hopefully.

Just control the ball as much as possible. We can't have Flacco and that offense out there all day, we'll be screwed.

^^ Agreed. What the pats need to start is if they win the toss, they should take the ball. I'm tired of seeing them defer. Because then they kick off, the opposing offense runs all over us (see last year vs balt), then before you know it, it is 14-0, and you're playing from behind for the rest of the game.

Great freaking game.

Baltimore is an elite team, even if the pats lost to them today, the way they played them made me feel a lot better. But to win....WHOOOOO!

-Branch played better than anyone could expect. I forgot how much I missed him.
-From towards the end of the 4th quarter through OT, the pats defense played amazing.
-Before that though, there were some players who certainly stepped up. Wilfork had a huge game. Cunningham is looking nice. Mayo is becoming the tackle machine he was his rookie year
-Zoltan Mesko had the punt of the game at the perfect time. While Gostkowski showed that those misses meant nothing earlier in the season, and he is still a great kicker.

The only bad, besides the sluggish offense at first, was the Hernandez drops in overtime (come on man!) the Brandon Meriweather headshots (though, that happened a lot this week. James Harrison gave two browns players head injuries :o ), and McCourty's play at CB (Probably his worst game since NY, but he did redeem himself at the end there with a good stop).

Great game of football.

Very big win for the Pats. They did a great job hanging in there and finally were able to get Welker and Branch involved in the game.

My three Stars of the Game
1. Deion Branch- Welcome back, looked much better than I thought he could.
2. Danny Woodhead- This guy is a real shifty runner, thanks again Jets.
3. Zoltan Mesko- Could have went with Vince or Mayo, but Mesko saved the game that's how huge that punt was for the Pats.

My three Duds for the Game.
1. Julian Edelman- I expected a whole lot more from him this year, hopefully just injuries slowing him down.
2. BenJarvus Green-Ellis- I know it's the Ravens, but he just couldn't get anything done.
3. Brandon Meriweather- Flat out a cheap shot from Brandon. That **** is not needed and I hate seeing in the NFL. Didn't do anything else in the game either. Should have all 3 duds for the game.

Yeah, there was so much of that this week in the NFL too. NFL really should either step up the fines on some of these hits. Hit em deep in the pockets.

Don't worry they will be fined. I think guys like Merriweather are asked to walk a line between being aggressive and hard hitting and head hunting. Its probably not as easy as people think. Rodney Harrison was hate but was also a great safety.
