OT: The True C we need! (Marvel Comics)

The NBA preview features artwork by popular Marvel Comics artists and depicts each team in classic covers/storylines from Marvel history.

Alpha Flight is a team of obscure superheroes from Canada. The same could be said of the Raptors -- minus the superheroes part. Marvel figured the eight-foot sasquatch and speedy Northstar (shown sporting a No. 96 jersey) could give Toronto a boost on D: The Raptors allowed a league-worst 119 points per 100 possessions with starters Andrea Bargnani (7) and Jose Calderon (8) on the floor. High-flying DeMar DeRozan (10) might be the team's next star -- which means he'll fly the coop as soon as he can.

I thought this was quite funny and the write up is absolutely spot on.

Without posting anymore articles, can you post some more of the creative covers?

I love how all the recognizable superheroes have no clue who they're looking at

A throwback to the infinity gauntlet? Sweeeet
That was one of my favorite series and probably the reason I got really into comics. That came out when I was in Grade 3, so that's a really old school throw back.

The "United We Stand" one is the best. Just need to add drink cups being thrown at them and the Cavaliers homecourt logo under their feet.

Hard to believe that Thanos used to be a respectable supervillain. Also, lol @ Thor just lobbing his hammer at Kobe

Dang that's some nice artwork, and some pretty cool perspectives at the teams/players.

The way they drew the big 3 in this picture makes them look like African tribesman with spears, like those slavery caricatures... Especially Wade, who looks like he's 83 years old and crying ....

Image

Why does Rose look like he's 45 years old? And somehow I knew that was Boozer at first glance  ...

I don't know, how long do you suppose it would take Sasquatch to get accustomed to a different language and different city, 5 years? 6?

Wade looks like Jamal Crawford's grandfather.
