I thank God every night before I go to sleep that he blessed us with John Wall.

I watched the whole 4th quarter of the Sixers/Wiz game. The whole time I was rooting for you guys. I was pumping my fist and cheered when you guys gain the lead and made good plays down the stretch.

Wall was just insane. His ability to go to the rim fearlessly reminds me of Tyreke (I'm a Kings fan) a bit. His ability to go up strong and take the contact and convert the basket is awesome. The way Wall is coming out strong out of the gates is almost unprecedented. If he continues this, he is at route averaging roughly:

24 ppg/3rpg/10 apg/4 spg

46.2% FG: 17.3 FGA
77.8% FT: 9 FTA

That is all star numbers there. I mean, I don't think he will maintain those numbers but it shows indication what Wall is capable of and how NBA-ready Wall is. Last year, Tyreke was the most NBA-ready rookie in the L. In his first month in the NBA he averaged:

22.6 ppg/6.0 rpg/5.3 apg/1.2 spg

47.6% FG: 16.1 FGA
79.5% FTs: 6.1 FTA

Both Wall and Tyreke took the L by surprise by their ability to translate their games to the pros easily.

As of right now, Wall should be the favorite for ROY. I mean, Griffin is awesome in his own right but I don't think he will put up better raw numbers than Wall (assuming he continues his great play early on). Cousins is the darkhorse as a favorite for ROY. If he manages to control his fouls, I could see Cousins averaging from the ranges of 14ppg/8rpg-17ppg/10+ rpg @ insane efficiency/productivity.

I think we can all agree that wall will not produce these types of numbers consistently throughout the season. I can see something like 18/8 from wall. In the future (when arenas is traded) he could be a 20+/10 player

I forgot what I had predicted, 16/8 I think it was, or 15/7. The crazy thing is, he's only 20 and will only get better. Like I told Pine on FB, his jumper seems to be better than Rose's, where he's drawing the comparisons. I would probably take Wall over Rose at this point. 3 games in.

I was surprised by his clutch play late in the game, a Elbow jumper and 2 FT's were huge late against philly. Says a lot about how he handles pressure. Like u say Raf, he's only 20
Sit back and watch WALL WORK!! >:-)

If he can get 9 assists in the first 2 games and 13 last game, without the 2 best scorers on this team, 10+ is very reasonable for him over the year... 8 is just not doing Wall justice, since he will score less and pass more when Gil & Howard get back...

18ppg sounds about right though, maybe a lil less seeing he'd be the 3rd/4th option...

10 is definitely NOT reasonable. there are blowouts (both for and against), games arenas just TAKES OVER, and games where nobody's hitting anything. 8 is still supremely good for a rook.

Only Mark Jackson averaged 10 assists as a rookie.

The 19 and 20 year old rookies with more than 7 apg:
Stephon Marbury
Isiah Thomas
Magic Johnson
Chris Paul

Not bad company. I am not sure if it indicates a 66% chance of a HOF career, but it would be a hopeful sign. Although it could also indicate at least a 50% chance of being a headcase at the end/after your NBA career.

That game would have been a big one for any pg. For it to come from a guy playing in his 3rd game is pretty scary. That was Magic-Bird-Jordanesque.

Of course it is early. Brandon Jennings got off to a monster start last year then cooled off sharply. Only time will tell with Wall but I cant help but be a bit wowed right now.

The difference between Jennings and Wall is that a) Jennings doesn't have the body frame to take over games like Wall can. Wall is bigger, faster and stronger. b) Jennings can't shoot.

I just have to say... I *still* can't believe that the Wizards ended up with Wall. He's going to be amazing...
