John Wall is a joy to watch play. I was a fan of his style of play at Kentucky and it's a dream come true to have him on the Wizards.

not colin cowherd, 5x sportscaster of the year!
the guy is a dbag. i'm consistently shocked at how judgmental people are. they're all up in arms when a 19 year old kid DANCES FOR HIS FIRST HOME PREGAME INTRO but make passes for LBJ? something smells rotten in the land of espn.

There's so many asinine statements that this Colin guy made. He's like the real-life version of TAI8 from the general board; I'm pretty sure they're both just trolling.
HAHA, ain't it the truth, bro. What's the hate for? Twenty bucks next year they'll do the same with Kyree Irving and say 'He'll never be John Wall..."

I don't know why those media freaks are hating on John Wall's dance intro. He's having fun out there, it's the season opener for the Wiz and he likes to dance, just like most black people! There will always be that somebody to nit pick at everything every year for a guy that gets a lot of attention, that's just what you get when you are getting in the record books and putting up god like numbers.

I'm surprised Tracee Hamilton didn't drop an article on the 34 second Dougie. She's slippin'.

Flip Saunders is backing John Wall in response to the criticism from cowturd(and maybe others).

Flip Saunders defended his rookie point guard John Wall against criticism of his dance before Washington's home opener this week.
"He is 19, 20. He's got great enthusiasm with what he does. His first time at Kentucky, he did a dance," Saunders said. "I think it would be different if you weren't around him each day, but John's very professional. He wasn't doing anything to disrespect the game. It was something he was excited about playing."
Wall was the first overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft.
"If he has dance and get 29, 13 and 9 steals and cut down on the turnovers, he can dance all he wants," Saunders said.

Re: Official John Wall Appreciation Thread
To the best of our knowledge John Wall has a working alarm clock. Unlike some other highly touted young PGs.

Bulls point guard Derrick Rose said he missed a scheduled shooting of a cameo appearance on the television show "The Good Wife" because he "overslept."

Wall got some luv from the Chuckster last night as The Jet
went over his list of great PGs in the league right now.
Wall did not make Kenny's list but he made the discussion.
Give him half a season and he'll be on the list. The kid's
got a lot of Gary Payton in him.

Re: Official John Wall Appreciation Thread
Rose and Westbrook, however, may have to take a backseat to the new prototype, Wall. He combines the power and size of the other two with an extra gear in his motor. Wall is so fast that Hawks coach Larry Drew had to go back two decades to find a comparison (former Utah speedster Rickey Green) before conceding that Wall still might be faster, and is much bigger, too.
In three pro games, Wall has used those jets to average 23.7 points and 10.2 assists. He's the most advanced passer of the three, and the fastest, and he might be the best shooter. He hit a pair of 3-pointers in his second pro game and already appears vastly more proficient in the midrange game than Rose or Westbrook looked as rookies.
This is, mind you, after just one year of college ball. Like the others he still has rough patches to work on -- those 14 turnovers in three games come to mind -- and right now he overwhelms opponents with his physical prowess more than with his skill level. But to date, he seems the best combination of the wily nature of his predecessors and the raw power of the new generation.

John Hollinger actually giving a Wizard some love in his per diem article on point guards. (Insider only) The fact that he turned out to be right in his pessimistic predictions the last 2 years only made me resent him more.
Making extreme statements like "only" sounds like there are "no" Jokics in this draft? Jokic is an engine that was drafted in the 2nd round. Always a chance to see diamond dropped by sloppy burgular after a theft.

Wall with a very Jamisonesque move. Lip service about improving areas of his game. How many years would Jamison smile for the cameras and say he was going to improve his defense? Walls already starting down that path with TO's.

It's only game 4. I want him to cut down on TOs (I'm sure he does too) and play more in control, but I'm not ready to call it a problem. It's only game 4. He's got a flaw that needs to be worked out. Kind of hard to do on the fly. He's got to work on it in practice, in his head, talk with coaches and other guards, and try to introduce what he thinks he's learned in game situations. It's only game 4.
He's got until game 10.

Seriously. I mean the guy is two years removed from high school basketball and he's still committing turnovers? What kind of **** is that? Four games into his career and the guy can't his **** down. What a bummer!

Far too compassionate. If he hasn't figured it out by game 8, I'm writing him off completely.

Green font? Okay, it probably wasn't needed.

John Wall made the all-star ballot. It looks like Cousins and Griffin are the only other rookies on the ballot.
