We need to make a separate thread on 2mr's Harrison Barnes + Kyrie Irving college game!

Whoa wait what? They both play tomorrow? What time? any idea if its being televised?

Last I checked Duke was playing on Monday, maybe I read it wrong.

Also, just a side note... to hang on to the small bit of good news and optimism that this season will bring.... don't look now but if the draft was today we'd have the 2nd and 18th pick.

I dont think Irving is playing tomorrow.

Here's tomorrow's game schedule for some of the incoming freshman prospects:

Brandon Knight (Kentucky) - 7pm
Harrison Barnes, Kendall Marshall, Reggie Bullock (UNC) - 7pm
Josh Selby (Kansas) - 8pm
Perry Jones (Baylor) - 9:30pm
Jared Sullinger (Ohio State) - 7pm
Fab Melo (Syracuse) - 7pm
CJ Leslie, Ryan Harrow (NC State) - 7pm

This is the kind of post that will probably seem embarrassing by the draft, but has anyone pondered the possibility that Miami's pick will be ever so slightly higher than we expected?

I was thinking that last night. But I can't see it being any better than 25 and even that'll be if they grossly underachieve.

Yeah, 25 might be a best-case scenario assuming no injuries to LeBron or Wade, but that would be about 4-5 slots higher than I assumed.

yeah, in my mind I've been looking at that pick as the 30th pick from the moment we grabbed it. Being in the 20's has a better ring to it.

I'm probably gonna be watching both but if you had to choose between a Raptors game and a Harrison Barnes/Kyrie Irving game, which one would you watch?

I'll watch Barnes until the Raps bring their bench in.

Ouch, that's a tough one. Unfortunately there's no guarantee that we get either guy so I'd probably watch the Raps and look at the develpment of the guys we already have. However, if we do snag one of those guys they immediately become the best player / franchise so it might make sense to follow them.

Not sure, I'll just watch both.

I looked at it this morning.

Rogers Sports Pack is only picking up one game. The CBE Classic at 9:00 - James Madison vs Kansas St. I expected more because there was 135 games tonight.

Pisses me off becasue I was assuming that they would pick up Syracuse vs Northern Iowa game.

Rogers seriously pisses me off....

NBA League Pass has always been on the 480's

now they've scattered them around the 430's and 440's.

College Basketball was always in the 430's....

They better not get bounced or I will be pissed....

guys, anyone know much about Kemba Walker? he seems like another option we can grab at the PG spot. He's currently ranked 12th in the draft xpress mock draft. What I do like about him is the scouting report:

The 6’0 point guard has increased his production across the board, and also improved on his outside shooting, which is no longer as much of a weakness as it once was. Arguably the fastest guard in college basketball getting from one end of the court to another

As a point guard, Walker has a lot of good tools, excelling in the pick-and-roll game and showing good court vision in general, capable of making tough passes to cutters in the lane. He does a pretty good job of moving the ball around the floor and finding open shooters, keeping his head up for the most part when initiating the offense.

Would you guys include him to the mix of pg's available along with Irving, Knight and Selby?
Masai's to do list
Trade - Ibaka

I'll add him to my post with all the highlights on the first page. I had him in my thread in the summer for point guards in the draft but didn't post him here because nobody seemed to high on him.

These two year are pretty good years to suck. This draft you have Barnes, P.Jones, Irving, Kanter, Knight, Shelby and those two other european dudes. Next year you have Miller, Drummond, Gilchrist, Nash, Rivers, Teague.

I mean your most likely going to be set with your 1 and 3 positions if your in the top 5 the next two drafts.

My ideal situation.. assuming these guys follow up there hype. Draft Irving....suck one more year.. grab either Gilchrist or Lebryan Nash. Try to grab Oden or Gasol via trade.

Irving
Derozan
Gilchrist/Nash
Bargs (or if needed to be traded davis/amir)
Oden/Gasol

Seems exciting to me lol

Syracuse 23 Northern Iowa 20 at the Half.

Canadian Kris Joseph who potentially is a first round pick is not lighting it up. 1 point, 2 rebounds, on 0-5 shooting.
