So...is Steve Kerr still a "hater" for saying there were legitimate reasons Phoenix didn't re-sign him?

Re: Not even overreacting....we should trade Amare
Say what you will about Bosh, but there's no question that he can create better than Amare can. He's also playing like crap this season because he too is adjusting to a new role, going from the 1st option to the 3rd option.
Not that it would ever come close to even being discussed, but an Amare for Bosh swap would be good for both teams and both players.
That being said, Amare will be fine if we can somehow acquire a good pick and roll point guard.

Well he was beating around the bush when he said it was primarily because of medical concerns. Kerr should have just mentioned that he flat out sucks too much to deserve the money.

No but he is/was a terrible GM and Phoenix made **** moves signing Frye/Warrick and getting Turkoglu for the money they didn't give Stoudemire. How do you commit 100mill. to 3 weakass players?

I take Warrick@4 million a year over Amare@17 any day.
Turkey was a terrible move, but Kerr wasn't our GM when that went down. Turk's former agent was.
Frye's a tad overpaid but he's improved a lot defensively. Hasn't found his shot yet this season but he'll come around(we hope).

Re: Not even overreacting....we should trade Amare
This thread is just stupid..I'm done, I blame Amare for take dumb shots in traffic and also, not passing the ball, and not avg.10 boards as of yet... but I'm not gonna blame him for not being effective after getting the ball at the 3line or not dominating the Paint b/c theres 3guys smothering you and when our 3's are not falling we're dead. Our pnr is horrible...This Thread is typical Knicks realgm bs..Go ahead and Trade Amare and see if we have any chance of getting CP3 or Melo on this team.. Like some1 stated the only reason they would come here is b/c we Have STAT, so he cant be that terrible when other star players want to form duo's and trio's with him..come on..

Nope. I've catch at least 30 Suns games a year since 2004, and never thought Amar'e was a max player.

Come on now people, seriously. I know it was a frustrating loss but you guys had too much juice/alcohol tonight. No need to get rid of STAT, he would not solve our problem. The problem is our coaching and lack of defense. You can say Amare is not a good defender but he does great on offense enough to accept him with lack of defense.

And what is Amar'e doing. And WTF would Amar'e have done with the squad Lee was on? Nothing. Nothing at all.

yes cause his game wasn't the reason he wasn't re-signed.
His game was the main reason the Suns didn't give him the demanded max contract, because he's not a max player. The knees were just the exclamation to the answer- "sorry, but no thanks"

Huh? Phoenix tried to lowball him and got caught with their pants down when he jumped to the Knicks. You really believe that the Suns would not have entertained paying Amare that but would have no problem paying essentially the same amount for a bunch of role players? Come on. Phoenix was so caught off guard that they had to go to Walsh and ask for a favor sign and trade so they can actually get a TPE to try to bring some more bodies in.

last i recall, steve mentioned his health in regard to the last year of the possible deal. not a thing about his game.

Re: Not even overreacting....we should trade Amare
I actually think we would've made the playoffs atleast once or twice in those 5 years.. but it cant be proven, but the one thing I will say is Amare does draw alot of attention in the paint....when they actually give him the ball in the paint and not at the 3point line...Im telling you us winning and losing all depends on hitting treys, and thats just garbage philosophy. Felton is def.an upgrade at the pg but for whatever reason our p-n-r has been horrible...The thing Im looking at I cant see any big man that would dominate in this system as of right now...Dwight Maybe...but when the paint gets clogged and our 3's aint falling, he cant shoot so idk..Bosh, maybe he can hit the J, but on the other end,..well we see Miami's Interior Defense...Dirk maybe he can shoot..Defense worse than Amare...Any big who cant shoot and getting the ball that far out would be ineffective right now. I think we need to make adjustments in the Game plan NYK 455.

Not Amare's fault it's the coach and this terrible offense that doesn't have a smart and or capable pg to save him
