On a serious note, how long would you keep the ring before you sold it?

it only takes like 5 minutes to get a camera out and take pics, add in the 7 days it'll be on ebay...one week.

I was thinking more like 3-5 days. If I were wealthy and had the security already in place and insurance ready to go and didn't need the tuition money, I'd keep it.

If I were ever to win Artest's ring, I think I would seriously give it back to him. He deserves it. I know he can buy another one after he auctions it off, but it's not the same if it wasn't the one he won. He also would offer me something else. 8-)

Maybe Ron would trade you that car he got pulled over in during the offseason.

When you've been single for too long all you see around you are happy couples snuggling next to each other. When you're involved you feel like wearing a purity ring in the middle of a free for all. I'm doing it wrong! FML

It's cheaper being single. I don't think I'll give that up till I want kids.

G=K you go to school for bioinformatics right?

If so, I need some information from you regarding books and stuff that you use.

Well I'm a computer engineer and I'm working in bioinformatics now manily because of my coding skills but I'd like to get some domain knowledge on sequencing and analysis of genome data with a computational perspective.

Do you happen to use any basic books for this which could help me build my conceptual knowledge?

We didn't get real big into sequencing or analysis yet - that's a whole course in its self i believe that may not be done until graduate school or in some cases it is something that is taught when you begin actual research. We learned techniques on preparation and extraction and what not, but that doesn't help. I'd recommend reading up on the Human Genome Project and finding some of its newer spin offs.

i really hope this goes through

I talked about that in the NFL Team in LA thread. I'd rather have a stadium near STAPLES Center than the proposed stadium in the City of Industry. It would be more "fan friendly" since it would be inside the city, and right next to STAPLES Center and LA Live.

wow I'm glad I'm not the only one interested. I agree that the city of industry is a horrible site and even more horrible is the proposed stadium they want to build but building a stadium pretty much on top of staples? Anywhere downtown but there. It would be like putting the burj khalifa right next to the empire state building u know what i mean?

Somewhere else downtown. They built LA live around staples, not the other way around. What they should do is start "LA Central" already
