Wiretap: Iggy won't be surprised about trade, but doesn't seem Mayo is on the block. Keeping going with the Iggy trade idea guys! haha

For Bargs? The only one I'd want off your roster is Jrue, or your unprotected pick.

I think that Philly would do it as they get a viable player in Weems plus a pick to help them shed some salary and unblock Turner's development.
We get an upgrade at SF and we'll then be set at that position for the next 3 years along with Kleiza.
I would make it Demar, Peja and Miami first for Iggy.

That's probably a decent deal, although I'd look to see if we could get it done without including one of Weems/Miami 1st. If we do this, we are basically giving up any chance of picking up a starting C in free agency (Gasol/Perkins), and I'm not convinced that Iggy will make us so much better that it becomes worthwhile longterm.

Are you kidding me?
You're trading Andrea just to get rid of Jose's contract? Jrue doesn't even equate to Andrea. Not even close. We need to keep the talent that we have and build along with it.
Terrible proposal.

What about Weems+Peja for Wilson Chandler+Eddy Curry?
New York gets someone useful for Curry this year as they try to make the playoffs (without taking on any longterm salary which could interfere with them trying to get Melo or whoever else), and we lower the salary commitment to Peja (allowing us to utilize the TPE without worrying about going over the tax) and upgrade from Weems to Chandler, who is a year younger and a better rebounder and defender imo (5.8rpg/2.1 bpg), which would be great coming from the SF position.

Peja + first rounder for Iggy.
76ers get relief and a big expiring. Raptors get a player to add to the core.

New York loves Wilson Chandler.

Chandler is playing amazing for NY right now, and getting lots of minutes. If NY is trying to make the playoffs, they can still do that with Chandler, without adding both Peja and Weems, who are not as good as Chandler is right now.

i would love something like.
To TOR: Iguodala
To PHI: Barbosa + Wright + Miami Pick
dont think Philly would do that but i think Igoudala as our 3 would explode and be perfect. Also we wouldnt have to take Brands contract but i doubt they do it. Imagine Iggy running uptempo in our system. It would be a thing of beauty. I might do something like:
to TOR: Brand
to PHI: Peja
then
to TOR: Iguodala + sweetener?
to PHI: Barbosa + Evans
i mean
Calderon/Bayless
Derozan/Weems
Iguodala/Klezia
Brand/Davis
Bargnani/Johnson
is a playoff team. Id need a sweetner though for taking Brands deal.
I don't know if we should absorb the contract of Brand and Iguodala.

it'd be great if Weems can some day replicate the same type of numbers Chandler does though!

I'd be weary of Iguodala's regression. With DeRozan and Weems, we have too guys who at least have the potential of being starting players. We need a legit C or a PG at this time.
Doesn't make sense acquiring G unless its more of an impact guy than Iguodala, who I believe, tends to get overrated here quite a bit.

Well, apparently Haywood has been having some problems in Dallas:
I am not sure we want to take on Haywood as he has a long contract...but it is an opportunity to get a true on the roster - without maxing out for Gasol. To take place after Dec 15.
So, how about:
Haywood, Stevenson for R Evans, Barbosa?
What I would really like to see (though I do not see Dallas doing this as Dallas is pretty high on Beaubois:
Haywood, Beaubois, Stevenson for Calderon, Evans
I think Dallas should keep Haywood as they need the size to get past the Lakers.
The Mavericks suspended center Brendan Haywood for Friday night's game against the Spurs for a violation of team rules

Calderon + J. Wright for F.Garcia
Kings have been looking for another PG. They haven't been able to spend their cap space either, so taking on some extra salary shouldn't bother them much - especially with Dalembert's ending deal. For us, we save an immediate $5+ mill and ensure that we lose a few more games while Bayless gets more time to develop.
I think we can live with Bayless and Barbosa as our PGs for one year. Then next year we either draft a stud or sign a decent veteran to a short deal and still save quite a bit of money.

^^ I'd do it if we could get Thompson in the deal somehow (ideally without giving up our Miami pick)
Bargs/Thompson
Davis/Amir/Reggie
Weems/Kleiza/Peja
DD/Weems/Barbosa
Bayless/Barbosa
Bargs/Thompson
Davis/Amir/Reggie
Weems/Kleiza/Peja
DD/Weems/Barbosa
Bayless/Barbosa

Only if Peja can be flipped for Dalembert s wekk. No point on just having Garcia, he doesn't really do much more than Weems IMO.

Re: 2010 Toronto Raptors Trade Ideas Thread
You guys really need Dalembert or Thompson? I think that's getting a bit greedy and there probably isn't enough PT for Thompson anyways. The whole point of the trade is to save $$ this year and the next two seasons while improving our perimeter defense and hopefully giving us a guy who might be easier to trade away. Barbosa would be getting Jose's PT, so Garcia would get some of Barbosa's current minutes.

I don't think it's greedy. Jose is a solid PG (ok starter, excellent backup) that can run an offense, something the Kings are in desperate need for right now. If we were taking back expirings for him, then yes it might be asking too much for Thompson, but we're taking on another longterm contract in Garcia, who is 29 years old and doesn't serve much purpose aside from bringing some bench scoring on the wings--not really something we need. I think there's definitely playing time for Thompson, the kid can play the backup 4/5 and is a solid rebounder that can score in the post and knock down an open jumper.
