Re: Minor League fantasy draft(NY Nighthawks on the clock)
I'm waiting on teamjosh currently. I'm sure he will pick pretty soon. Since Upperclass has not created a team yet, I figure we can skip him. (and he can select his players after or when he decides to join)
Again though, we are only doing 5 rounds in this format.

All good, figured this would take awhile, just eager to get my pick in.

Re: Minor League fantasy draft(NY Nighthawks on the clock)
Hard to find skilled big men out there, so I'll use my first rounder on Yiannis Bouroussis. He's a big presence in the post and can step out and hit a jumper. Not blessed with great athetlicism, he uses his big body to get position in the paint and score ala Marc Gasol.
Im still unsure on the rules on picking EuroStars so if this pick doesnt count, Ill repick. Ill be around all day.

Yeah, sorry. Unless a European player is in the D League, he is not eligible.

All about quality over quantity for teamjosh- he's a good poster.

Yeah I know, I actually never paid attention to his post count, was kind of shocked at first glance, it seems like he contributes a lot on the draft board.

Sorry, guys. I'll go with Keith Langford if American European players are ok. If not, Kyle Weaver is mine.

You're good with Langford. I'm up next, and then to the top of the order.

Isn't this a snake style draft?

I mean I am open to any suggestions. I just want to know what others have to say about this before we decide to implement it. (because even with this method, the top picks would be favored if this goes to 5 rounds) Also, I am fine with going last in every round.

Re: Minor League fantasy draft(NY Nighthawks on the clock)
With my first pick in the draft, the Elmwood Park Tree Frogs select............
Bo McCalebb (I'm coming after you guys)
Bo is a 6'0 scoring point guard who is adept at shooting the ball off the dribble and is extremely quick. We expect him to attack the basket with reckless abandon and get in the lane. His ball penetration will undoubtedly create opportunities for dish outs and clean up opportunities on the glass. Bo is one of the emerging, young American stars in Euroleague and is certainly a player to build a franchise around. He is extremely strong and can also spot up and hit the three point shot when called upon. Because of his built frame, he is able to defend bigger guards. Defensively, he is adept at getting in the passing lanes and picking players' pockets. Look for McCalebb to star in this league for a long time to come.

I'm down with a snake style draft. Mainly because I'm lazy and I'll get to pick several days from now.
Plus I like the word "snake."

Re: Minor League fantasy draft(Klomp on the clock)
With the first pick in the second round of this draft, the Tree Frogs select Pete Mickeal.
Mickeal is a 6'6 combo forward who is versatile enough to defend multiple positions. He is a strong guard who can lock down opposing players and play a bit of small forward and sometimes power forward. Mickeal is strong attacking the basket and he can spot up with his jumper. Since his collegiate days, Mickeal has added a three point shot to his offensive repertoire. Mickeal is a consummate team player and professional. He is the perfect face up player for our system.
