TPE
I think both teams would agree. Dumping hamiltons contract would be huge for them and it would land us a vet who can score. Rodney Stuckey is a solid pg who can be the 6th man on this team.
No need for Stuckey since we already have Bayless; both are combo guards. I want to get Mayo on this team, and will give up anyone except Bayless, Ed Davis, and our 1st round pick next year to get him.
Yup. Unless DeRozan can play the three (cause him and Mayo would be kinda cool together) then I'd possibly be willing to throw him in too. I'm thinking something along these lines...
OKC Out:
Jeff Green
OKC In:
Reggie Evans, (Miami pick?)
Ok. This seems like a bit of a stretch but I actually think with the move, OKC gets a rebounding animal who plays tough D and is also an expiring. I think this will balance out their floor a bit better.
Portland Out:
Andre Miller
Portland In:
Jose Calderon
Portland get rid of their older PG and take back a younger, pass first point guard who tends to work efficiently in the half court. He has better 3-point range than Miller. I think Caldy will work and fit here too.
Memphis Out:
O.J Mayo, filler (Haddadi?)
Memphis In:
Leandro Barbosa, (TPE?)
Memphis gets a veteran who is capable of playing both guard spots who can provide and lead the offense off the bench without conflicting really wanting to join the starting lineup. He's fast and can score in bunches. If the TPE does get included, it'll allow some financial flexibility. I think its becoming increasingly obvious that Memphis can't pay Mayo, Z-bo AND Gasol. Somebody's gonna have to go and I don't think that this is a bad package at all.
TOR Out:
Reggie Evans
Jose Calderon
Leandro Barbosa
(TPE?)
(Miami pick?)
TOR In:
O.J Mayo + filler (Haddadi?)
Jeff Green
Andre Miller
Great trade for us. Solid starting SF in Green, SG in Mayo and a great passer with a shorter, cheaper contract in MIller. With his passing abilities, he will definitely contribute to the development of our younger players and be that locker room voice that this team needs. Haddadi would be a great filler since we really need bigs on this team. Unfortunately, we do give up the Miami pick (which is a small price) and roster problems could arise with Bayless and Mayo (since they're both combo guards and Mayo and DeRozan since they'll be competing for the starting spot (maybe we throw in Weems somewhere to sweeten a deal?)
Miller/Bayless
Mayo/DeRozan
Green/Kleiza/Wright/Peja
Davis/Dorsey/Amir
Bargnani/Alabi/Haddadi
What does everyone think?
