Will Jets always be the red-headed step child of AFC East?

Everyone was so convinced at the beginning of the season that this would be the year the Jets make the leap. They were all over ESPN. They had their own HBO series. The coach played them up. The media played them up. Everyone said the Pats were a 9-7 team. Looks like the same old Jets to me... seems like that freak appearance in AFC title game went to their heads. They are literally 2 bonehead opposign team plays from being only 7-7. I'm afraid to count them out even after the Miami debacle but going down the stretch it looks pretty bad for them.

I just don't think Rex Ryan's coaching style works. Is there a reason why every little thing that goes on with their team needs to be public? The burial of the football, the Sanchez-Ryan lunch dates, the public comments about how they are "soon to be champs." Does that help a football team? Call me a Bellichick guy but his style seems to be more suited for the NFL. I'm all for being loud and hard on players, but there are ways to do that without looking like a clown. The trainer clipping the Dolphins player just exudes the arrogant cockiness this team has even though they haven't done anything.

I think the Patriots just demoralized their season. Looks like I can give credit to BB for running up the score in that regard.

I bought in on week 2. I thought they were scary, they had all the talent, sanchez was playing dirty, and they were winning games. Boy was I wrong, they are making me look like fools.

Besides the trainer incident seems all is not well elsewhere in Greenland... Looks like some Jets players are turning their ears from Rex...

"According to Rex we played [bleepy]," Ellis told The Post of Rex Ryan's words to the defense after the game. "He said we weren't good enough. I guess we needed a shutout. I guess that's what he was talking about."

The criticism did not sit well with the defensive players, likely explaining why most of them bolted from the locker room before reporters were allowed in. Linebacker Bart Scott, the so-called leader of the group, had someone bring him his clothes from his locker.

"It's frustrating to hear that because we played a solid game," Ellis said. "I guess he just expects so much out of the defense that there should have been zero points on the board, not 10."

LOL the one Miami TD drive they got the ball on the NYJ 26... what do you expect? Ryan is an idiot. He doesn't even know why he lost. It's the offense idiot!
