With that said, I think Denver would accept the following and that Donnie will pull the trigger in order to achieve his "home run" goal of getting two superstar type players in NY:

NY Trades -> Curry, Gallo, Fields, Randolph (or 1st), $3 Million
Denver Trades -> 'Melo (extended)

That's really the best we can offer and more than fair given the circumstances.

The problem is that deal is more than fair, and you haven't taken the circumstances into account.

Why would anyone in their right mind give more than what is fair? Only a fool gives more than a fair offer that's just wasted assets/money.

Anyway, you said D won't give up Gallo and W won't give up Fields yet freaking both of them are in your deal. At best you have to figure one won't go yet you still think this deal is doable, perplexing.

He will definitely draw a lot of scorn. No question about that.

I think he's more promise than threat personally.

LOL, caught it too and thought what to do with it but you did it perfectly.

Had the weirdest dream last night. Was in the car when the radio announced the deal. All youngsters were involved, Chandler, Gallo, AR, Fields. Even Walker and TD. Was a multi-team deal and people were quite upset. Terrible stuff.

Is it wrong that I have the biggest Kool-Aid smile when I read articles about how Denver loses their leverage?

According to the wiretap Melo told Charlotte he has no interest in playing or extending there. So cross another off your list.

The No Pile:
Denver
New Jersey
Dallas
Charlotte
Houston
LA (Clippers)

Wow, Melo doesn't want to play for a Charlotte team that can possibly be contracted!

Cross another one off.

A source expects melo to knicks "one way or another" and Denver is not ready and still want him to resign but will most likely deal him with pressure on and nets have been most active but knicks are melos favorite team and are staying quiet and knicks have only really had internal discussions but are still very interested but know they can't do anything until denver is ready.

Hahn has written that exact same article, minus the "one way or another" anonymous quote, several times already.

Personally, after listening to Donnie with BT and Adrian Wojo with BT & Tierney, I expect Melo to get traded to and sign with the Nets.

And I, & many others,

will breathe a sigh of relief when it finally happens.

Denver is going to hold onto 'Melo for as long as it can. If that means the trade deadline or the end of the season, we'll see.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned here, but Trader_Joe posted in a Melo thread on the GB that the Nuggets don't get a TPE if it's a sign and trade because the Nuggets will be under the cap.

Why would the Nuggets wait until the offseason?

Side question, does anyone know the last day for a player to accept a player option? Is it June 30th?
