Alibi is one of the few players in the league that has a lower basketball IQ than Thabeet. I predict he only lasts three years and is done.

Mayo + Thabeet + Allen

for

Barbosa + Evans + Wright + TOR 2011 1st (top 10 protected) + MIA 2011 1st

Conley / Vasquez
Henry / Barbosa
Gay / Young / Wright
Randolph / Arthur / Carroll
Gasol / Evans / Haddadi

Barbosa can play PG and SG for you. You get 2 picks out of it and save money next year

I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

Philly offers:

Speights + Expiring filler for Thabeet

Pretty much a change of scenery swap for two big men. (philly doesn't have cap room to absorb the difference, but Mem would save on the salary difference next year). Speights is an offensive power house if you can keep him close to the basket... unfortunately he loves his jumper about 3 feet beyond where he should be shooting it. Philly needs someone tall... if only to help leverage our contract talks with Hawes this off-season.

Best offer/reasoning for a Thabeet deal I've seen in a while. I can't see the Grizz passing on that.

I don't see the Grizz have any interest in moving OJ for any of the assets youve offered.

What is the actual OJ status? And what are the Grizzlies looking for? Do they really need more expiring contracts / financial savings at this point in time or are they just looking to gather more prospects?

OJ's not being moved, at least per the Grizz beat writer. If he were to be moved, it'd be more than for expirings. Think about it - the Grizz could have just not reupped OJ's (or Thabeet's) rookie deal and let them walk if "money" were the only matter.

Not likely...but curious on your perspective...

Monta Ellis for Rudy Gay

I think Monta is amazing but doesn't fit with the smaller Curry. Memphis is Monta's home town etc...

Thoughts?

Grizz are most shallow at the 3. Grizz are deepest at the 2. Not to say that the Moped Assassin wouldn't be a big upgrade for the Grizz, but I just don't see it.

To TOR: Thabeet + Bogans + Johnson
To MEM: Watson + Dorsey + MIA 1st + CHI 2nd
To CHI: Barbosa + Ocaroll

You get your backup PG in Watson. You get Dorsey who's playing well for Toronto. Save money and get 2 picks. What do you think????

Raptors fans.

Please stop suggesting those stupid ridiculous trade. Griz would never ever trade OJ for your suckers. So stop meaningless trade playing.

personally,

I don't have any interest in Raptors players. They all look like garbage players, so I hope you guys to keep your players, not covetting our precious Griz players like OJ. Maybe Thabeet could be available, but not definitely OJ.

FYI, Griz is not money-saving freak franchiser, so TPE and cash? these are also all rubbish.

This is interesting. How dare worse teams like Raptors to try to rape better team, Griz. lol

A bit of a variation on the deal:
Thabeet/Henry for Speights/LWill

This keeps the money a little more even for Philly, however Mem gets the better producing players (assuming they are trying to win games... whereas in philly not sure that's the goal).

Mem gets a dynamic 6th man in LWill, good court vision, can score in bunches. Speights/Thabeet is just a change of scenery swap. Would love for Collins to get a hold of Henry, as I think Turner's future could be more of a point forward. So Collins can mold Henry into the kind of SG he was as a player. I know Henry's value was pretty crazy high early in the season, but i think its kinda normalized a bit to make a deal like this beneficial for both teams.

Meh - not so keen on giving up Henry yet. He won't even be 20 until March. I'd be less enthused than the "our disappointment for yours" scenario.

This is the best of your Toronto suggestions. I don't feel as strongly as some, in that I think Toronto has some talent, but I still don't think they're a good fit to trade with the Grizz. That said, I'd think the Grizz FO would have to consider this offer.

Would you guys approve of a Z-Bo for Monta+Gadz

Z-Bo is obviously not in the future plans of Memphis. Might as well see what Arthur can do full time. As a Grizzly season ticket holder, I want Monta Ellis. These next 3 years will be the prime of his career. He can either replace Mayo. or more prudently, replace Conley who is not a better PG. Monta's understanding of pace and his ability to run the pick n roll as both a passer/scorer has improved by leaps and bounds in just one season. He's not Chris Paul by any means, but he's too talented a scorer and playmaker to pass on at 11M for the next few years.

I wouldn't - and I wouldn't be so sure of your premise either.

I think if the Grizzlies proposed that to GS, the teams would no longer be on speaking terms.

Heisley would be a fool to commit to Z-Bo at the rate it's going to take to keep him. Especially with Marc needing to be extended, and possibly OJ.
