Wiretap isn't updating for me for some reason. Stuck on "Love Talks About Leaving TWolves" as leading story for the past 2 days.

He said the deal was done. It wasn't. You have set a very low bar of accuracy.

More than likely, Incarcerated is operating on the broken watch is right twice a day method of reporting.

Lol at anyone believing him. Please see his comments on harbaugh today. He seriously "reported" that harbaugh agreed in principle with two team. Lol. On the melo front, he reported that his agent and he were discussing going to the nets at his sisters place on the day she died.

That's because Incarcerated Bob doesn't have real sources. For example, he was saying how Jim Haurbaugh was a lock for 49ers and then he was a lock for the Dolphins a few hours ago. Well you wanna know what happened? Tony Sporano was retained and Harbaugh is meeting with Stanford. He doesn't have any sources at all. All he does is "report" likely scenarios as "breaking news" just to say he was the first to report it.

This.

Or he basically reads around on the internet and "reports" something basically at the same time someone with real sources reports it, then claims he reported it first.

Can we please stop pretending that Incarcerated Bob is legitimate

The latest thing he said about Melo was his agent was paving the way for him to go to the Nets and will sign the extension about 2 weeks ago. Oh, and his agent met with him literally the day after his sister passed away to get his approval for the extension

Thing about the Nets is that it doesn't upgrade Melo at all. He likes NY but that's not why he wants the Knicks above all else.

It's a) being on a big stage, b) with a chance at a title, c) playing with Amar'e. All the Nets have is a good city, but possibly small stage, definitely secondary stage at best, and not for two years. And for all of that, he has to gamble on a poor team that no longer has picks or assets. And a season and a half in a bad city.

It's a bad deal for him. Going from Denver to NJ is a step back for him. That's why I've been back to doubting the Nets as a real option.

The Nuggets' "strategy" could be as simple as forcing the Knicks to give up Fields along with the other assets (Gallo, Randolph most likely). It may be all about Landry.

Reading the article again I really doubt the teams were fighting over a protected 1st round pick. Sounds like Melo turned them down again TBH.

Denver is rubbing a lot of teams the wrong way with this nonsense, wouldn't be surprised if a lot of teams just stop wasting their time with them

+1
I am sorry, but it just doesn't make sense for the Nets to work out the structure of a huge deal that will land you a Franchise Player and you allow it to hit a snag over something stupid like a draft pick (especially one that isn't going to you) twice. How do you let that happen, you can't let that happen. You make a complicated deal like that to get a player like Carmelo Anthony you gotta make sure it get's done. To have that happen to you twice makes me think either A) Your front office is completely incompotent (which maybe true if your willing to give up Favors, Harris, and Five First Rounders) of B) the real issue was that Melo didn't want to sign there. At first I was worried when I heard the Nets news, but the more I think about the more fishy the story is.

The Nuggets and Nets were reportedly close, for a second time, to hammering out the structure of a trade to send Carmelo Anthony to New Jersey.

According to Chris Broussard, a deal that would have brought in the Cavaliers was discussed before Christmas.

Something definitely doesn't feel right at all. It comes down to money or winning.

I dunno....I was watching the game tonight and Melo looked out of it. Something is gonna go down soon.
I'm waiting to wake up and see a 30-something page thread on "Melo to the Nets!!! Official!!" any day now. Again, I have my theories as to why that won't happen but to be pulling everyone's involved chain would just be really ugly for any future dealings Denver would hope to have around the league. The deadline will be here before you know it and then we'll see. I'm excited to see the "smaller moves" Walsh can make to fine tune the roster. This Melo stuff is coming to a head.
