I'm proud of what my Blazers did but it's just hard to win when you can't stop a team's top 3 players. Wade, James, and Bosh all played great games, period. Good game guys, but be prepared for our return. ;)
Go back to your home board and troll over there, we don't want your fake humility. The garbage you're posting in the GT on the Blazers boards shows your true colors you fraud.

I have removed my post, and for what its worth I'm making no attempt to start an argument here. If that's where you want to take it then I guess you can have a chat with the mods but I choose to remain civil.

This game was another example of how we win despite Spo and because of him. 29 Minutes of Joel Anthony. You take out Wade after he starts the game on FIRE! Spo even tried to run a lineup of Joel-Howard-JJ-Lebron-Arroyo...Yeah that lineup is scary. We were down 7 points and then Lebron/Wade took over. We are blessed to have those guys but we can't keep expecting for them to bring us back with less than a minute remaining. These type of games bread winners but force feeding Joel breads losing.

LEBRON/Wade FTW! I keep saying to my self "WOW we have LeBron, Wade and Bosh".

Miller could be a turnstile for all I care. He still needs to see minutes or else he'll never jell with the team.

He definitely needs to get into some game action. I'm assuming he's practicing hard, getting shots up and working out which is good. I would think that they are waiting a bit longer to really put him in because his hand is still bothering him and they don't want to aggravate it any more. I think that as long as he can get into some games and get comfortable with the team by the playoffs it's all good.

We have Clippers, Denver, Chicago for the 16 game record tie and then we come home to Atlanta & Toronto and then we go to NY for the Knicks and the record. Any other team I will say it's impossible but this team either blow you out or the big 3 Burris you closing the game in the 4th or OT. INCRDIBLE!!!!

omg good call. I even made a post about how Spo was going to keep him in the rest of the game because of it.

He went back to being the Warden in my book. 29 MIN, 1 BLK, 1 TO, 4 PF The Warden runs a tight ship.

Maybe.

I lurk GB and Heat board almost every day and the Heat and its players (namely Lebron) are trolled constantly and ruthlessly on the GB. Numerous Heat or heat-related threads are created by non-heat fans, and many times the team is brought up in threads non relating to the Heat, anyway.

It's a message boards not a popularity contest, and the **** and "nationalism" (teamalism?) is part of what makes sports so popular as a world hobby anyway.

The mods in GB are like NBA refs. They do a great job of preventing any Heat fans stepping out of line. Threads are locked, posts are constantly edited. But God forbid they do anything about the constant trolling against the Heat on every thread. Not a big deal in the long run. I guess if anything bothered me it would be the hypocrisy of it all.

I fully expected the thread to be locked. If anything, it worked out better than I expected... 300+ views and no one is allowed to post back. Great Success! Bring on the Hate! It fuels my love of sports! (Now if only the Dolphins were secretly the Patriots. :()

If Erick Dampier doesn't start getting minutes, I swear... I'm going to... sit back and just pray that Wade/LeBron keep bailing us out because that's all I can do.

I don't care, this should have been a 10+ point win in regulation if Damp was in there. Just put him on LMA, no more post-ups, or offensive boards given up. The only thing that kept Portland in the game (other than some fishy reffing) was their offensive boards.

But as for the guys that played tonight (other than that numbskull who I don't even want to think about anymore), they were great tonight. Played their hearts out on offense and defense.

Mike Miller is not a better defender than JJ .. in fact it is quite obvious that JJ is one of our best team defenders this season.

JJ has done a great job in positioning and taking charges, but there's nothing there that Miller can't come to do having watched him in this league for years. This is BY FAR the best JJ has ever looked in our system. The two prior years were spotty, at best. That's being kind.

Miller is more athletic and has a decent BB IQ. I don't see why he couldn't pick up the rotation the same way in time. Beyond that, the fact that Mike can put the ball on the floor, make plays, rebound at the 2/3, as well as being a dead-eye shooter makes it paramount that we get him up to speed as soon as possible.

There was a reason why when that signing took place, it caused a number of haters to remark "Oh, ****". Leaving on to waste away on the bench, hoping to snag some garbage time, when we will most assuredly need him in the playoffs accomplishes nothing.
"We've proven that we can do it and we'll do it again."
