Of course, I mean the Vince Carter trade came out of nowhere and was completed right away.. aside from that we got him for absolutely nothing. It's like if we were to deal Murphy, Outlaw, Graham and the Lakers/Rockets first rounders for 'Melo.
Well I wasn't talking the ripoff aspect, but more what you said, how it came out of nowhere and was done quickly.
Carter was pretty much on the block for a couple months and there were a lot of rumors floating, one of which hits close to home, that he was quite close to being a Knick.
Who knows if it got done quickly, Rod may have been the dark horse from the jump, but he played it close to the vest and got it done stealth like and professionally, even if the end return was the product of a trade genius and a god awful GM.
Billy King, Avery, this current FO is all about airing their business and showing their hand.
For all the faults Rod Thorn was blamed for and/or the ones he really had, dude was a pro's pro and the foolishness of this regime is showing big time.
Let's say this deal falls through permanently, how do you think this will reflect on future deals?
Every GM in the league has taken note.
We are going to be the losers in any scenario from this point out even if we're the winners.
