I think this comment comports with most theories here--Melo hasn't approved any deal to NJ--they have to work out a deal and then ask him if he'll sign the extension.

i "lol" when i see people over analyzing everything the man does. i swear if a reporter mentions knicks to him and his cheek twiches someone says " hes going to the knicks everyone did you just see his cheek!!"

i just dont understand melo's position here... unless he actually wants to go to nj it just doesnt make any sense for him to keep this "i dont know" game going...

Because the Nets are garbage. He is going to an old, gutted roster and would be in a worse situation than he is in now.

are you talking about publicly? Can't expect him to say anything other than what he has been..keeping his head down and trying to move forward...though I suppose it would make things a lot easier if he said "I don't see myself landing in NJ" or something to that affect - if he didn't have any interest in going to NJ...or even behind the scenes to his people, if Melo had zero intention on ever going to NJ he'd tell Denver (you'd think) and they wouldn't bother with all of this....you have to think if the talks are still going on Melo hasn't ever said he doesn't plan on going there... which I guess go with some of the reports, in that he'd think about going if they got some players...... but it certainly leads you to think he hasn't told them No NJ

Guys carmelo isn't acting like he is being traded because as soon as he does he will look to anxious, he probably already knows he isn't going to the nyets so his best stance is "I will wait out this whole season then walk and u get nadda..... Or melo and denver could have made a deal to increase his trade value by acting like u will sign with the nets then we will send u to the knicks all parties win in that scenerio

I think he's telling his agents that they have to have a team in NJ coming along with him...for him to consider them....and the best they could come up with is the Rip/Chauncey reunion tour. And when I say "think about it", I mean think about going there for the remainder of the season (NO extension) I think he's taken a stance like, "Look, y'all do what y'all do. I'm going to the Knicks this summer...if y'all come to me with something that makes sense (CP3, DWill, etc.), again, I'll THINK about it but my heart is set on teaming up with Amare in the Garden for the Knicks."

It's "The Decision" all over again. I'm convinced, the fight is fixed. We are in on this one in a major way. The media once again are being deliberately misled to cause knee jerk reactions. They (Denver) are stalling hoping that we become a less attractive destination over time. NJ has no issues assisting with that. Billy knows Melo wants no part of the rebuilding Nets but his boss is either dangerously aloof or just plain old stubborn to the fact staring him in the face: Melo ain't going there. From the tampering accusations to Amare wanting to be the man to the Knicks not wanting Melo (think about when he said it, he looked like "yeah aiite..(lol)..that's what I'm hearing...FROM MASAI AND JOSH...these dudes think I'm stupid...I'm so outta here") to the trade being a done deal....these dudes are reaching. Donnie is a g...no, excuse me Donnie is a G. Melo will take what we have to be a part of this Knick revival.
