Walton and Maxiel have similar deals and so do TMac and Brown but Brown makes much more sense on a rebuilding young squad like the Pistons.

:D

No thank you.

In what fantasy land do you live in where Bynum = CP3 or Deron lol...though I agree at this point Hinrich isn't worth it.

Man I WISH we pulled the trigger on Hinrich and Noah when Hinrich was still in his prime.

Hinrich
Bryant
Artest
Gasol
Noah

that's just a beast lineup. "HERP DERP NOAH ISN'T AS GOOD AS BYNUM GUYS" (This was a year or two or go). Look what we missed out on.

We have no chance at Noah because the Bulls won't give him up because like him too much.

What? We did have a chance at Noah, and Hinrich but we would've had to trade Bynum (and Fisher I believe) and the F.O., I guess thought it was too much of a gamble. Now looking back on it I could kick my own a%$ as to why we didn't do the trade.

Noah is a hustle guy, nothing else. Bynum 70% healthy > Noah.

Wrong. Noah is a hustle guy who will change your team's entire mentality and approach to the game night in and night out. He is THE ULTIMATE hustle player, not just 'some hustle guy'.

I still think we should keep Bynum. Noah is challenged offensively, and with the aging of the wings on this team, Bynum's young offensive presence is much needed to help establish the inside-out game Phil wants the team to buy into so badly, and Noah's defense, while certainly better than Bynum's, isn't so much better that we would see a notable change worth trading Bynum away for.

Just thought I'd ask you guys. If the Melo to NJ trade goes down, it looks likely that Billups is going to get bought out, do you think we go for him?

Meh, I think the Lakers are old enough. No need to Billups here.

why would Nets buyout Billups? They have to trade Harris away in the deal, no way in hell Nets give the starting nod to Farmar

It was said that if traded that Billups wants to play for a winner. No need to have Melo drama Pt.2 with Chauncy so they would've bought him out, and the only winning teams that lack a starting PG is LAL(meh on Blake) and MIA. But looking at it, we don't really have a way of getting PT for him this season unless Fisher's permanent home is the bench behind Blake which isn't going to happen.

Nash for Bynum with some minor tweaks and adjustments would make a ton of sense if the Suns keep losing and the Lakers don't look like they can compete with Miami at the deadline.

No thank you because we need a pg who can defend, and also we need to hold on to our bigs because we might face Boston again with their bigs, and Miami we need to us our size against them.

Don't get me wrong MIA is an astounding team, but I think we can win against them. Erase the farce from Christmas day out of your mind. Giving up a young big for a 36 yr old is just wild.

Cleveland Trades: Anthony Parker, $2 Million Cash
Cleveland Receives: 2011 2nd Round Pick (Golden State), 2013 2nd Round Pick (Chicago), and Trade Exception
Los Angeles Trades: 2011 2nd Round Pick (Golden State), 2013 2nd Round Pick (Chicago), and Trade Exception
Los Angeles Receives: Anthony Parker, $2 Million Cash

Reasons:
o Cleveland Cavaliers: Gain two 2nd Rounders.
o Los Angeles: Get a smooth and classy veteran that can spread the floor, pass, defend, handle the ball, and play smart ball. They haven’t been able to get much in the way of 3-point shooting from Matt Barnes or Ron Artest and Parker can provide that at either the 2 or 3 spot. They don’t take a luxury tax hit since Cleveland pays that with the $2 million. Also, allows Kobe to get even more rest and fill the gap left by Matt Barnes’ injury.

^ I'll absolutely do that. I always like the idea of having Anthony Parker on the Lakers but isn't he injured now?

You guys must really want Nash to finish off with a ring enough to trade him to a division rival.

I rather it be NYK 2nd, GSW 2nd could be quite valuable, could be top 10 pick in the 2nd. As for parker, he might get pt but I doubt it, when barnes return

Wait what?He is playing 33 MPG...How much more rest does he actually need? His minutes are perfect the way they are right now ..Let's say I don't want to wake up at 2-4 AM and watch Anthony Parker play and Kobe 25 minutes a game....not yet anyway...we'll talk in 4 years :)

If he gets traded to the Nets. Should the Lakers find a way to bring him to LA. Could take some minutes away from Kobe and give the Lakers a little extra bench player for the push to the playoffs.

Lamar and Artest for Anthony and JR SMith. Lakers re sign anthony for 3 years. Lakers get two more rings. Phil Jackson stays for another 2 years. Lakers makes a film for walt disney with Carmelo as the new face of mickey mouse and kobe as new cartoon character named Kobe.

Interesting, Melo mentions us amongst other potential suitors.

Mitch must be in communication w/ Den.

"I don't want to talk to nobody," Anthony told reporters in San Antonio. "I let the front office handle that type of stuff. It ain't my job to be talking to New Jersey, New York, the Lakers, Dallas, no one. That's not my job to do."

I truly believe we could offer the best package out of those teams - but if Denver is truly adamant on taking Melo to the Eastern conf. there's really nothing we can do, only time will tell.
