Nah, I predict a trade going down within 2 weeks now that NJ is out of the picture. I've always maintained that NJ is our only roadblock to a Melo trade, and now that they're out of the way, Denver will soon realize that NY is really the only team available they can trade Melo to. They're not going to send him to Houston or Dallas as a rental package. What they'll do is take that rental offer and bring it to Donnie to get him to ante up...
Even in that respect, I think Donnie's standing offer is already better than any rental offers.
What a lot of people don't realize is that the closer this approaches the deadline now, the more leverage WE have, not Denver. We're not the ones desperate to make a trade by the deadline. Denver is, or they risk losing Melo for nothing but some late picks.
