Looks like Sportsnet/Sportsnets One will be broadcasting 4 Spring Season games.

March 6th (Sunday ) vs. Pittsburgh Pirates

March 13th (Sunday) vs. Tampa Bay Rays

March 23rd (Wed) vs. New York Yankees

March 30th (Wed) vs. Tampa Bay Rays

Monday, Feb. 21 - noon: Penn State vs. Nexen Heroes

Thursday, Feb. 24 - 7 p.m.: Seoul Nexen Heroes vs. USA (St. Petersburg

Saturday, Feb. 26 - 2 p.m.: Canada vs. Seoul Nexen Heroes

Sunday, Feb. 27 - 1 p.m.: Beach State vs. Canada

With Thames getting an invite I'm kind of surprised Mastroianni didn't also get one. I don't suspect he would win a job, but he is similar enough to Davis that he might be worth a look as a cheaper alternative.

Mastro is on the 40 man roster, he doesn't need an invitation to show up at spring training

Right, I knew that - when you explain it that way. For some reason I was thinking 25 man roster, but I shouldn't have been with the number of people who would be missing then.

please, saw pictures/video of him in the Winter tour and saw him in person at Scarborough YMCA, he looks as fat and horrendous as he always has. This new hip isn't gonna last the season if he doesn't get into shape quick.

While Catchers and Pitchers do not report until the middle of February, with games beginning at the end of the month, isn't it true that some players are already in Camp? I was reading that as of Jan 31st, just down the street in ClearWater, Phillies players like Halladay, Domonic Brown and some others are already in "Camp". Do we have any such players reporting early like this? Are these organized workouts or do they just show up to the training complex and get some workouts in?

When you consider how many ST games networks like YES and NESN show of the Yankees and Sox, four is really disappointing from Rogers. They must have doubts that anybody in Canada watches ST games, but still, it's rather cheap of them.

Lol...or maybe they have statistics that show ST games viewership numbers in the past isn't enough to justify broadcasting more than 4 games this season. Sure regular season jays games draw a sh*tload of viewers, but that's the regular season when the team is playing .500 ball or better. I'm not sure everyone who tunes into these games is as hardcore a fan as you. And I bet NESN and YES are showing like 10 or more games as they always do, but let's face it...were talking about the Yankees and Red Sox here...two prestigious clubs with fanbases comparable to what the Leafs are to the NHL...

The only place they could have gotten those doubts were from ratings.

If the Jays ever want to build a brand in Canada that's in any way comparable to those teams, little things like this are a good start. And it really wouldn't cost all that much to do a few more broadcasts, considering it looks like they are going to have all the equipment down there anyway. But again, that would involve Rogers caring about something more than the bottomline.

No, they're just a business. Maybe one day we'll have a Mark Cuban that's driven by winning, but until then, it appears we're stuck with these profit mongers.

And what's up with the hostility, anyway?

You'd think I was insulting you or your family, not the corporation that has helped keep the Jays in relative mediocrity for the last decade.

I've always been impressed by the depth and breadth of the coverage on YES and NESN in comparison to Sportnet (in both ST and the regular season), and there's really no reason that Rogers couldn't do many of the same things on their own networks. That's all I was saying.
