Steph Curry, Andris Biedrins, Dorrel Wright, and Dan Gadzuric,

for

Andrew Bynum, Steve Blake, Ron Artest, 1st round pick

Lakers get the pg of the future, a great shooter, defender and awesome triangle piece. (he would also be the best 3 pt shooter on the team, and the star of the team once kobe's gone) They also get dorrel wright, another knock down shooter who can split the sf duties with barnes. And lastly, biedrins, who could still give the lakers some of that length down in the pain. Gadz is a throw in for salry reasons.

Warriors get Bynum, and their core for the future, in ellis, Udoh, Lee, and Bynum. They get a serviceable pg in blake who can play off the ball with monta, and artest, who, is the wild card here.

I used to think giving up bynum wasnt an option, but i realized we need more of a kick in the pg, sf position. A laker lineup , and 9 moan rotation of...

curry/fisher
kobe/shannon brown
Wright/barnes/
Gasol/Odom
Biedrins/Odom

seems pretty dope. I also think that ridding themselevs of biedrins, getting their center of the future and a 1st round pick is a pretty good deal for the warriors.

Thought?

As a Warrior and Rocket fan who does not really overrate his players, this is a ridiculous trade and it makes no sense. Dorell is having a breakout season and will be a solid starter/6th man for the rest of his career. Curry is the type of player that is pretty much untouchable but when it means we can acquire a superstar, he can be traded in a heartbeat.

There are no centers in this league worth giving up one of your franchise cornerstones for except for Dwight Howard. I love Ron Artest but really? Ron Artest for 2 of the Warriors best players?

Lakers trade Odom for Andre Miller. Lakers get much better at pt. guard with a playmaker in Miller and the Blazers get some size again. I believe salaries are pretty close.

I think the Lakers would trade Gasol for Curry in a heartbeat. Lakers finally get a very good pt. guard who will be an All-Star in a couple of years. Salaries don't match, so Warriors would probably have to throw in Biedrins.

I have a few questions:
1. Who is more valuable right now to the warriors and the league in general, Gasol or Bynum?
2. What do you guys think about a Gasol for David Lee and Steph Curry? Unrealistic?

1. I'd say Gasol to both those questions. Bynum's value isn't seen as much considering he's labeled as "damaged goods". 2. Yes it's unrealistic. Even though we'd be getting Curry, I believe the Lakers would reject the trade. You can't just get anyone and expect him to make up for Gasol, especially a David Lee.

I'd like it aswell. Too bad the Hornets arent playing like trash. Although I'm sure the wise owner of the Hornets, Mr. Stern could help us out.

OK I'll play

melo, birdman for bynum, artest, 2015 1st pick.

if a trade is going to happen imo it would be for melo. mitch always go for the big fish. anthony is the only unhappy superstar out there who already expressed his desire to be traded. plus hes good friends with our boy Kobe. artest becomes expendable because we already have a defensive minded sf in barnes.

Lakers get: Brand, Iguodala, S. Curry, Battie, and C. Bell

Warriors get: Gasol, Artest, Blake, Walton, two Laker 1st Rd Pks, and 3 mill cash

Philadelphia gets: Biedrins, Gadzuric (exp), Radmanovic (exp), Wright (exp), Lakers TPE, and Derrick Caracter

Philadephia saves a bunch of money and lets their young guys get lots of run.

Warriors get a great "center" for their system, a nice PG compliment to Ellis, and some moxy with Artest.

Lakers get a solid backup big, and athletic, defensive SF, and solid shooting PG.

I doubt that will happen.

Trade ID #5835127

artest, bynum, luke for iggy and brand. This year is going to be hard for the lakers, the western conference has gotten alot tougher with emergence of spurs and mavs. This move would be an all in gamble on the last few productive years of kobe bryant. Bynum's injury tendency is almost as bad as brand's.

For Brown....He doesn't have a bad contract and can fill a need for them at SG
He can veto trades but he could be in a better situation in Memphis...he's playing for his contract and I think in their system and with more PT will earn a nice paycheck in the offseason

If he does want to veto the trade it's simple, just warn him he's gonna rot on the bench for the remainder off the season....being a contract year,I don't think he'll be fine with that

Phil Jackson is not going to bench him for vetoing the trade if it's ever brought up. Brown's the first guy that comes off the bench when Kobe goes in for a rest and is Kobe's main back-up. Who's going to back Kobe up when he goes to the bench?

Barnes when he comes back.

This problem is only for the remainder of the regular season...In the playoffs,Kobe will play 40-42 mins(if Brown isn't traded)so he will play around 10 mins per game..I would rather give those mins to Barnes,he would help us with more than just chucking

That's cool and all... but who's going to back up Artest? Barnes is Artest's primary back-up. Also, Barnes will get his minutes no matter what, as will Brown.

Starter - Backup
Fisher - Blake
Bryant - Brown
Artest - Barnes

Walton? Ewww. Agree with LA Forever, Phil isn't benching Brown, and Brown would simply veto a trade to Memphis. And seeing as in return for Mayo, they want pieces that can help grab a playoff spot. Artest and Brown provide that. Although, because of all the trade talk and now Memphis going public it just feels like a trade is happening for this team.
