I just fear that this will lead to Thomas being our next gm..

If that happens.. I'll watch but I can't be vested in them.. Won't let myself be vested in a team again and watch them be eaten away by a leech again..

I'm glad some people will be rooted out by this.

+1..... I'll get over it. Melo is worth it.

But again, no high fives 'til the press conference. And Melo WILL cry.

Are you kidding? Two of the universe's top individual scorers plus Chauncey Billups?

Chauncey will jack up 8 threes per game. Melo will average damn near 25 shot attempts, mostly within the first several seconds of the shot clock. And Amar'e will have room to roam and a ton of shots from 18 feet.

We're talking about adding up to 2 ppg as a team. My guess is 110 ppg. Very much a D'Antoni team.

A jazz fan to a nuggets fan lol thought this was funny. I was somewhat inclined to say we have our eyes more on CP3 but we'll take deron but I let it be lol

John Hollinger says they stepped onto the court at the same time.. they were in the same ride trying to get there from the meeting in Beverly Hills.

Clearly they have great coaching careers ahead of them when they retire.

Melo will make up for some of that, and other players are going to be getting gallo and chandler's touches.. don't act like we have only 3 players on the court after this trade

You're not the only one. After 40+ years watching this team...enough is enough. When Amare begins having issues, this deal will look very different - but the Knicks will be capped out in perpetuity - again, but with few real assets.

Honestly...I've been addicted to this team, and it's time to end that addiction. Life's just too short.

were only on the hook for melo and amare in 2 years when we can go after paul or williams...not sure what u mean by capped out? Its not like we have zach randolph, jamal crawford, and eddy curry for awful deals...we will have 2 of the top 10 players in the league

Those two plus cap holds and picks will be around 47.5 Million. Barring a miracle we will not have enough cap space for a max. Good luck building a team around two highly flawed players taking up 2/3s of the cap space. Talent wise it is a slight improvement. Salary and future growth it is a big regression.

Long term this is going to be considered a fleecing.

And Billups obviously. Melo + Billups alone = 41.
