WTF has Melo done to "rape" us? Isn't he the one that has been saying FOREVER that he doesn't wanna go to Jersey?

Riiiiiiight, awfully easy for you to tell someone to give up 15-20 million dollars just so you can feel good about what your team is doing.

Yo,........ nah bro. Speak up now. NOW we have done our part. Seriously. I dont like the deal but screw it. I dont like the way carmelo has played this. These recent comments are touching my heart. **** offensive man. We going all out here. When are you going to speak up and help us out?
god shammgod wrote:towelie wrote:It's very possible that when Dolan met Melo, Melo told him to "ante up or I'll choose NJ." All reports said the meeting was to see how committed the Knicks were in acquiring him.
agreed. melo didn't want to wait for the money, or to not **** over denver, or for whatever. there was no choice.

Knicker23 wrote:Yes, in the fairy tale knicks world Melo comes out and says he'd rather lose 50 Mill and Denver miraculously decides to give their dignity to us by trading Melo for a bag of chips.. Melo cuts the throats of Denver organization and the fans, and joins the Knicks as is and rides off into the sunset...... It didn't happen that way - lets move on with the situation....... Melo hasn't become any less of a player because of it, we don't need him any less.. our record isn't any better.

All I said was imagine if he gets lazy because he got paid. Wouldn't be the first time that's happened. Hell, Steven A Smith was saying A-Rod is looking a little round now a days.
But since you brought the money up. It's my guess he would have lost about 10% of his salary or $8 million. Now, I understand that's a lot of money so I'm not criticizing him for it.
But I also wonder if how Rose was telling him he'd lose 50 million is by saying that in the new CBA contracts may not be guaranteed i.e. if you get hurt and can't play (a la Eddy Curry) that you don't get paid. I doubt that will happen but I wonder if he was suckered into thinking that.
