Another Norris for Lidstrom. Damn. Orr's lead is slimming.

Lidstrom is a god

Datsyuk won the Lady Byng and Selke trophies too, for the record. A good year for the Wings.

I don't really agree with the adams or the selke, but the other choices are about spot on imo.

I think carbonneau should have won the adams, taking a team a lot of people didn't expect to make the playoffs and win the conference is quite an accomplishment

Nah, Bruce deserved it the most. The Capitals were dead last in the East when Hanlon was fired. It was a lost season and no team in the NHL had ever made the playoffs from the situation Glen left us in and after all that we ended up winning our division. But the thing is that with a competent NHL coach the Caps would have never been in that situation so I could see your point but it's still pretty amazing for an AHL head coach to make a jump to the NHL mid season and do what BB did.

Three Caps awards

I'm happy that Marty got his 4th Vezina (he's catching up to Hasek), but I really think Nabakov deserved it.

Congrats to Ovechkin, too. Heckuva player.

I can really see the argument, I think boudreau really did a great job but they almost won the division by default this year. There really wasn't a real solid team in it until washington really starting lighting it up. He did have quite an effect on the team though, thats for sure

When Washington went on their end of the season run, Carolina was playing very well also. The fact the Caps went from dead last in the conference to Southeast Champions, Boudreau may have been the easiest choice for any of the awards.

Carbo got robbed... but we're used to it now... just like Ryder getting robbed a couple years back. I mean... we were only projected to not only miss the playoffs, but be bottom feeders this season and we finish what? FIRST overall in the East. The Caps finished 3rd (7th if going by points) yet Boudreau wins it... Now, I'm not taking anything away from him, but it's not like Carbo has an Ovechkin to carry them.

That's what I thought, but I'm a Sharks fan and obviously biased. Marty has a defense, Nabby doesn't.
