Tuesday, Dampier got his first start and I really like how that unit looked... but Spo wont hesitate to change that based on the match up.

Not be rude cuz you came in here pretty respectfully...but I don't see anyone of your center's being good enough to be able to hold it down against any team in the east. But you guys knew that - you'll pick up someone that will plug up that hole this summer most likely though.

Depends what you mean by "hold it down"...

Dominate? Hell no. But Dampier has the size and strength to be a big body and play physical with the bigger Centers (see his action against Dwight in our last game). Z has the ability to just be really damn tall and stretch the floor with his shooting. And Joel, while garbage at anything that actually involves a basketball, is fantastic at defending the more athletic scoring type of Centers.

Its all based on the match up. We dont need them to do a whole lot. Hell, we dont even need Dampier or Joel to take a FG attempt. Just play their role by defending and rebounding...

To answer your original question guys that give Jo trouble are the ones who can match him in strength and quickness like Howard and Bogut.

On the rebounding side a guy like Damp will be more problematic because he is stronger but, Noah will try to get him in foul trouble by driving at him and Jo is much quicker than Damp.

On the offensive end a guy like Big Z will be problematic because of his ability to shoot.

Joel doesn't have either the strength/height or quickness advantage.

On the flip side who do you think can bother Wade the most? I know we don't Hinrich any more but...

Even thought the numbers show differently we are not on the same teir as Boston's defense yet. It will take good play by all our front court guys to get this win.

I wanted to ask him if he could name four players from the 2007 Miami Heat (without checking the internet), but then realized that I wouldn't take that much pleasure from embarrassing him.

Anyway, regarding tonight's game...

I expect a much better effort from the Bulls tonight, but am wondering if playing the second of a back-to-back is going to come back and bite us in the butt. Miami has been playing great ball lately, should still be a little salty from their last loss in Chicago, and will certainly be a formidable opponent. It'll be a tough one tonight.

Not sure who you have to bother Wade. IMO, the only person that can really slow him down in this game is himself (which hes done a few times this year.). Hinrich was your Wade stopper. That guy was so damn frustrating...

And my wife loves Hinrich... which only made it more frustrating and annoying.

Think about it.

Bosh has been driving to the basket a lot more lately & getting to the foul line. Dampier should get the start over big Z who was DNP last game. It's going to be fun.

With no moves made the FO just doubled down on faith in the team as is.

They need to come out tonight and play hella better than last night if they are going to begin to justify that faith.

I want to retract the statement I made earlier about us not be as good as Boston defensively.

No more Perkins changes that!

Oh yea!!!!

This board (and the media) is gonna get REALLY ugly if we lose tonight. Everything possible has gone against us the last couple days. A loss here could have people going overboard.

Besides losing to the Raptors what has gone against us? Am I missing some thing? Didn't Noah just return?

I'm sure we'll win but man this board will be completely unreadable if we lose. Our front court depth will really help in the playoffs. Thibs needs to just bench Bogans already. It pathetic watching him play....

eh, i see waht youre saying. Idk, my big thing w/ centers is that they don't have to score but they damn well be able to rebound and defend - and if not defend 1v1 i think they should be able to defend in a system. Which i don't think your bigs do. I think that they provide a big body which is a help but their actual play is just god awful.

Don't get me wrong, it's not like I'm predictive a guy like noah to go off for 30/20 against your bigs, but i do think a 15/15 would be had easier against them than say bogut or horford. And yes...i know thats pretty obvious, i'm just painting a word picture for everyone.

Probably talking aout the Bulls inability to get better at the trade deadline. All that rage mixed in with the Raptors loss today and a loss to Miami will be...let's just say I'll be off the board for awhile as well. Not because I don't want to read that stuff but I'll be joining in the fracases and would probably get banned quickly.

Oh I pray for the sanity of Bulls fans everywhere that we win this game tonight.

I really hope the Bulls are ready for tonight's game. This is feeling like one of those nights that the Heat are going to come out with something to prove.

I was expecting to be pumped for this game, thinking we would have added another player to bolster our offense.. Now all that anticipation is gone. I just hope we don't get blown out.

Derrick Rose won't let the Bulls drop this one.

Note this isn't all my logic but the general board:

- Mayo could have been gotten for the equivalent of a 15th overall pick and a bad PF
- Lee could have been gotten for a guy that'll have more DNPs than minutes the rest of the year
- Rip Hamilton will not be bought out according to sources
- Anthony Parker will not be bought out, ditto for JR Smith
- We just lost to a team losing 11 straight games who started a popular player here that was traded away a day before the game
- We may get blown out at home on national TV against a hated enemy

And you don't see why this board might go into full meltdown mode?

You dont think our Centers can defend in a system? That couldnt be more incorrect...

We have one of the best defenses in terms of scoring in the paint...
