Did I mention that I love NCAA tournament play?

Awesome stuff we've seen the last couple of days.

our D let in too many easy buckets to end the game and in OT.
we should have gotten those rebounds and never gave up that easy dunk.

our best defender was injured but will be back for next week.
it was a great game for both teams and great prep for what might come in the next few games.

They hit every shot they needed to down the stretch. Although as I said before that I'm not happy with our D, gotta give them credit. Clutch (plus some luck)

Washington when it is on is one of the best teams in the country. Everyone thought they would dominate the pac 10 and be a serious contender. They stumbled in Feb, but have been playing great basketball as of late. If Isaiah Thomas wasn't 5'7, he would be a great nba prospect.

Arizona is still recovering and is based around 2nd year players. NExt year they have Sean Millers first real recruiting class coming in (top 5) and should be a force.

UCONN vs Louisville for the Big East crown.

Kemba Walker vs. Peyton Siva - two top 40 high school recruits at the PG position.

after a really bad first year, Siva has been playing great lately.
I can't imagine Uconn getting past a well coached pitino team.

Trying to read other comments on the upcoming draft, but this thread turned out to be a NCAA game discussion.
Really hope to have those "40 points" comments move to another thread. This is just ridiculous when people are posting a one line comment not related to the draft, meh.

Kemba is fool's gold, IMO- let somebody else take the risk. Every year, undersized combos and 6'7 Cs look like they could defy the odds and take their game to the pros... that's part of the madness. Rooting for the guy, but no thanks.

They're also losing one of the best players in the NCAA. Derrick Williams really is Arizona's entire team..without him, they wouldn't even be in the tournament. I expect growing pains next year.

Washington, on the other end, might be the Pac 10 favorite.

You know I feel the best Kemba Walker comparison would be Jameer Nelson. Both are great scoring PG's but they do not rack up too many assists. If we do draft Kemba, I feel like we would also need a point forward.

As incredible as Dwill is, he really is not their whole team. I mean, when you take a top 3 player in the country off any team, they get significantly worse. Keep in my mind that it's only ARizona's second year with Sean Miller after being at ground zero beforehand. They may or may not be a tournament team without him, but you have to give a lot of credit to SM and the rest of their team for how they have played.

Arizona is built upon second year players and even with Dwill, they have major holes. Next year, their core (KP, Solo, Momo) will have aged a year and have gained a lot of experience. They are only losing Horne to graduating (and Dwill). They are bringing in a top 5 recruiting class that fills their needs very well. Although it is no guarantee that Dwill is leaving (he likely is but whatever), Arizona will be a top 15 team next year regardless. They will also be ranked in preseason polls above Washington.

Out of curiosity, what team in the pac-10 do you root for?

if we dont get Irving. Barnes is my choice. Hes a true SF. Perry and Terrence are kind of tweeners right now with the potential to play the position over time. Barnes is a SF and fits perfectly with this team. I would love to see BC trade Jose for a younger PG that might be struggling. Kind of like how he made the Bayless deal using our TE maybe Flynn?

Flynn or PG
Derozan
Barnes
Davis
Bargnani

is something id like to see next year.

I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

So you will have Bargs, River, DD and HB all four players demanding touches, yikes not good.
