He's done this for years but people don't give him credit.

That was a 5m head start for a guard over a PF/C. The guy never gives in.
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders

Stupid thread. No one here can beat an NBDL/NCAA player much less an NBA player.

Why are a lot of you guys speaking for everyone else? Don't assume that any baller that's not in the NBA is not a worthy baller. A lot of ppl have to face the harsh reality of life, n none of their "hoop dreams" can save them. You have ppl that have had their dreams ruined by incarceration, injury, other responsibilities, or just never really had the interest to take their talents beyond the streets. I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I'm a baller. N if I'm asked if I think I can beat someone in one on one I'm gonna say yes 9/10, it's just the competitiveness in me.

Now I know this thread wasn't serious, but I had to respond this way because a lot of guys are too close minded. But yeaa I can probably beat Joel Anthony and anyone else not named Wade, Lebron, or Bosh ;-) lol.

I'm like 102% positive that I would beat JA in 1v1... Not like the dude can score anyway...

WORST CASE SCENARIO: (For everyone)

He'll sporadically block your shots, and make one accidental freak shot, and after 45 minutes of 1v1 to 15, you'd win 15-1

I'm definitely sure I can beat him in a game of HORSE, if dunks are not allowed. Bring it.
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

I'm from MTL and I've actually played against Joel at the High School and CEGEP (equivalent of prep school) level. He could barely make a lay up then but he was always a tremendous shot blocker (this was before he played JUCO ball). Interesting fact about Joel: he never averaged double digit scoring at any level of basketball - gotta be a first for an NBA player. As far as the 1vs1 thing, he played in a summer tournament 3 years ago in MTL and still couldn't score consistently but nobody could score in the pain vs his team. He's surprisingly short for an NBA center.

Only way I would win is to chuck up threes like Paul Millsap and hope they go in.

If Spo saw joel hit a 3 he'd probably insert it into the gameplan

Yeah, because saying you gonna win will magically make it happen just on the grounds of confidence and competitiveness. Confidence doesn't put the ball in the basket. Just ask Larry Hughes. Well, I mean ask anyone who's seen Larry Hughes play, cause he's probably still thinking he can make shots.

Cmon son! I'd clown this fool. Chuck some 3'z. Shamgod him so bad he's out for the season on fractured ankles.

But in all seriousness I don't think any normal person can beat an NBA player no matter how much of a D-leaguer he resembles.

A better thread would be Anthony vs. Jared Jeffries in a one on one.
