Beasley (and his past) are the only ones specifically referenced because it allows them to drive their own angle into the story. The fact that the other teammates are mentioned only in passing is done purposely. I also like how the article is almost entirely based on what this chick said, all the way down to her receiving free movie tickets. I suppose I shouldn't be too hard on the Fox as they did avoid mentioning a certain someone who is mentioned constantly these days.

In other news I (finally) learned what "smh" means.

I don't think it's unfair that the woman was quoted throughout the article. After all the theater and the police refused to comment on the issue. Personally I wouldn't expect the team to comment either. It's not she accused them of smoking a doobie and performing free breast exams. I'm going to say that Beasley messed up by posting on Twitter.

Is the article about Beasley or the woman in the theater? There's more about her than Beasley, even with the unwarranted inclusion of "OMG He smoked WEED!1!1". It reads like something you'd see in an intro to Journalism class under the banner of "DON'T DO THIS"...provided they even teach journalism still, I never can tell.

I don't really think there's more of her or Beasley, just her account. I'm sure Beasley could make a comment too if he wanted. I wasn't a huge fan of the weed comment, but if they want to make the connection they can knock themselves out, just like we can be reminded that we didn't draft (insert name of player we didn't draft). Personally I don't care if anyone smokes weed, but it is what it is.

Beasley has a long history of being an immature douchebag, so this doesn't come as a surprise at all.

ask your friend Andy who the other 4 players were.
1. Herro 2. Bol Bol 3. Seko 4. Bruno
unless we trade up for Barrett or trade down for PJ Washington

Who is Andy, did I miss something?

Please raise your hand if you were never obnoxious when you were 22 years old. Exactly.

Cmon dude, this is a completely douchey thing for Beas and his buds to do. I think most people are mature enough at 18 to not do crap like that

I managed a movie theatre in the northern suburbs for 5 years, this isn't the first time something like this has happened. We dealt with it at least once a weekend in white small town suburbia.

Is this a white/black issue? I just thought it was a douchebag issue.

Those white suburbanites who did it were morons for ruining other people's experience, as well.

What's so hard to admit about saying someone is a jerk for being so woefully inconsiderate of others? There really isn't a way to blow it off and say its anything but inconsiderate. And trying to aggrandize the other side of the argument by saying things like "its not rape" or "white kids do it, too" doesn't change the fact that Mike Beasley showed himself to be a loud, obnoxious idiot in this situation.

If guys from my team did it I'd say the same thing. Hell, if my younger brother did it I'd say the same thing.

His point was that it's fairly common, hence, he's less of a douchebag.

Or at least that it's fairly common, so it's not really a story.

All three of you are right. It's an idiot thing to do, but it's about as newsworthy as writing a front page article because someone changed lanes on the highway and didn't use their turn signal.

Beasley was being an idiot, big freaking deal. I don't understand why there was a write up about it. WHO FREAKIN' CARES!?

Well he made a bad point. Someone does something douchey one shouldn't say "its not uncommon to be a douche" they should call the guy a douche and hope for him to stop being so douchey.

Again, if one of us were in the theater we'd probably not think it was no big deal, we'd probably be annoyed and think that the guy was a jerk. Thats what we do when its not a famous athlete talking loudly in the movie theater.

BTW, this is a story because people like to hear about guys like Mike Beasley acting poorly. It cements our theory about them being self-entitled and spoiled.

My point is fine, it's your desire to be a troll that's bad. But if you feel like making it your mission to stop all people from being a douche, please don't limit yourself to NBA athletes in movie theatres. Douches come in all sizes, colors, and flavors.

Please don't distract from the conversation by calling me a troll just because you don't like my points about Beasley. Personal attacks like that are not welcome.

My "mission" is not to stop people from being douches. But in this thread that was made to discuss Beasley getting kicked out of a movie theater its surprising to see people defending him by trying to play off a clearly lame thing that he did. Sort of an athlete entitlement in action kind of thing going on. Things like this are probably why Beasley is the way that he is.
