Except Henderson played 43 games in his rookie season and Griffin played 0 games. But yeah, let's completely disregard the first 43 games he played to make our argument stronger.

Lets not act like he was getting meaningful minutes under larry brown. If the hall of shame coach had LARRY HUGHES and FLIP MURRY playing over him then that just goes to show he wasn't given a fairshake. he might as well been injured the whole season

NO human being on good's green earth holding a basketball right now is comparable to Kobe Bryant in terms of work ethic. NONE.

Kobe's WAY more atheletic.

Intangibles? C'mon bro give me a break. No SG other than Dwyane Wade currently can dream to hold a candle to Kobe Bryant when it comes to intangibles. Its probably the biggest reason that he's STILL playing at such a high level. Sure Gerald is good on D but that's not all there is to Kobe.

BBIQ again. This is Kobe freaking Bryant we are talking about. You can't outwit this man on the basketball floor.

You just hurt your case more than help.

And if those were the 4 things that made you say that Henderson's ceiling is Kobe I really have to question your BBIQ.

Son, where did I ever say Hendos talents were surpassing or equaling Kobes now or in his prime? It seems your reading comprehension is lacking, i'm merely comparing that the way Hendo plays reminds me of Kobe.. His duke team mates even drew the same comparsion.. so stop coming at me like i'm pulling this crap outta my ass. its a fair comparision, I never said he would reach his potential, but I could see him becoming a poor mans kobe if he puts it all together, if not more..

and not to mention that we have Kobes Idol mentoring him..

Hendo also outplayed him the last time they met up off the bench with less minutes, we have a small sample, but I haven't seen anything head to head to show that Derozen is a superior player to Hendo..

lol CEILING MEANS if he puts everything together thats as good as he can become, ceiling doesn't mean he will reach it.

if every athletically gifted player put everything together they'd all be perfect players.
you still have to put limitations on a player when projecting their ceiling, otherwise every athletic, 6'6 player's ceiling would be MJ.

not exactly, If hendo had a glaring deficiency in his game i would lower his ceiling, but I think his flaws can be worked on through practice - and thats where his work ethic comes in. I may look like a fool now, but watch only time will tell, but remember where you heard it first.

I'm bout to bounce, but I will leave this thread with this quote

Duke junior Jon Scheyer loves to needle roommate Gerald Henderson about his infatuation with Kobe Bryant.

Henderson, Scheyer will tell you, tries to walks like Bryant, sometimes talks like Bryant and would keep the apartment TV on a constant loop of Bryant highlights if given the opportunity.

“I don’t know what will happen if G has to play Kobe in the NBA in a year or two,” Scheyer says. “If he’s guarding him, God forbid, he might ask him for his autograph.”

Remember Kobe did the same with MJ.. only time will tell

He has outplayed DeRozan in virtually every occasion they met (excluding the game last December where Henderson played just 3 minutes). Does that mean that Henderson is a better player? HELL NO.

Then by that basis Yao Ming is a better defensive player than Dwight because he is able to contain Dwight on a consistent basis.

Your basis for comparing players is HORRENDOUS.

lol are u serious? whats the point of being the better player if you can't beat a player head to head? and Yao was the best center in the league during his prime

Even IF Henderson puts it all together he would NEVER be as good as Kobe Bryant. End of story. You are being disrespectful to Kobe by making such a comparison.

If you say at his peak certain aspects of his game mirror that of Kobe I can agree, but don't for a second think he's could possibly be as good as Kobe, that is unfair to Henderson.

No, Ajinca is a complete scrub.

Ed Davis, DeRozan, Amir Johnson are all better prospects than Gibson/Hickson. James Johnson can make a case too.

That's not really a compliment towards those guys though, it's just that Hickson/Gibson are very poor young prospects.

And yet still he isn't HALF as accomplished as Dwight. Dwight took less much further and extremely more valuable than Yao. The only thing Yao had on his was offense.

I knew that your argument would also be that Yao was the best. So typical.
