100 Wins + World Series Title in 2011

Post#1 » by RaoulDuke79 » Thu Mar 10, 2011 12:02 am

...not for the Astros though, of course.

I am however somewhat excited about the upcoming season, more so than in a long time. It sucks that Castro is out, but I am anxious to see how some of the other players develop, mainly Wallace and Johnson, and I am somewhat cautiously optimistic about the rotation. It's going to be very strange not seeing Fat Elvis or Oswalt on opening day, but I'm looking forward to seeing how this new look Astros team does.

Hopefully they will be more like the team that finished last season and less like, well, pretty much every team we've had since they made it to the World Series in '05.

Anyways, hopefully this here thread causes the one they call vator to make an appearance and chime in on what we can expect from this year's team.

Oh, what the hell, I guess our resident Mets fan is welcome too. Hi TMU, I know you're lurking!

Go Astros!
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

The Astros are now in the post-Killabees era, but they still need to trade that cancer, Carlos Lee, in order to shed some payroll and enter full rebuilding mode. Wallace and Johnson are nice prospects, but I'd keep an eye on Wilton Lopez as well. He's got the stuff to become a good pitcher in this league.

On a side note, I still can't get over the fact that the Lastros traded Oswalt to the Philthies. I can never forgive this team!!!

Go Mets!

They will be showing the game against the Marlins tomorrow at noon on FSN. Unfortunately I will be working so I won't get to watch. Boooooo.

Well, pretty typical start for the Disastros I guess.

This team blows more leads than any team I have ever seen. Ridiculous.

Once again the Cubs prove to be the most pathetic team in professional sports. Sad, getting swept by the Disastros. Ouch.

The Disastros can secure last place in the all of MLB with a loss tonight and a Minnesota win. GO #1 DRAFT PICK.

#1 Draft pick would be nice, We could not only get the pick, but if Lee retires we'd be most likely getting a top 15 draft pick as well. And losing Oswalt sucked but we got value out of that trade also.

I can't wait till you can trade draft picks in Baseball.. It would make it so easy for us. We could trade the players that are just wasting away on our team for a future of young talent and a deep Farm with future allstars.

We are now securely in last place. Time to start watching some college baseball to see who our future #1 pick is, I'm thinking pitcher.
