I go by nbadraft.net's draft order. Take it up with them. :)

Thompson declared and signed with an agent. He is in this draft to stay.

Wasn't that a different Tristan Thompson, the guard from North Texas? Or has there been a new report since the mother of UT's Thompson said her son has yet to decide?

That's the same report that his mother refuted. Doesn't mean he won't declare, just that a decision has yet to be made/announced.

5. Sacramento - Jan Vesely (6'11'', SF, Czech Republic)

Is he the better pick over, lets say, Perry Jones for the Kings?

Probably. I'm not sure it is in Sacto's best interest to take another boom/bust big man after grabbing 2 last year in the draft. Vesely is more ready to contribute now and can play both the 3 and 4.

I mean, I wouldn't get too mad if the Kings decided to pick Vesely over Jones. Vesely has incredible physical tools for his position and it seems like that he has the desire to get better too. Which is very important with these international players.

I'm thinking the Singleton pick is amazing for the notSonics. Assuming we don't move up via some sort of trade (if so, please let that include Nate the Grate Robinson) I see our draft day board realistically looking like...

1. Jordan Hamilton
2. Chris Singleton
3. Jeffery Taylor
4. Justin Harper
notSonics 2016
Starters - Trey, Roberson, KD, Ibaka, Adams
Rotation - Payne, Waiters, Green, McGary, Kanter
Bench - Collison, Christon, Brodgon, Huestis
Stash - Johnson, Abrine
Cut - Morrow
Trade - Singler
Draft - Brogdon
FA - Green

A few I see taking a dive lately, not just on your mock, but others as well, Jeff Taylor, JaJuan Johnson, Keith Benson and what happened to Klay Thompson?

What gives? Stock falling, or other player's rising, or a combination?

I don't think any of those three guys have fallen on my mock, merely that players have declared for the draft and dropped them down some. When the underclassmen pull out of the draft in a few weeks, those 3 will rise back to the very early second round spot again most likely.

All accounts are that Thompson is going back to school.

Is it a reach to select Biyombo with the Kings pick (range: 4th-6th)? Perry Jones isn't going to declare, making this draft more weaker.

I mean, if the Kings can't retain Dalembert (he's an expiring), I could see the Kings move Cousins back to the center position and draft a guy like Biyombo to accommodate the power forward spot. He would be the Ibaka-version (role) for us just like the Thunder.

It is not a big reach, but I am not sure Cousins and Biyombo are good fits. I would try to put more of a shooting PF or C next to Cousins to free up space for him to work down low. Kanter would be a better fit because of his strong mid range jump shot.

If any of the Biyombo hype is legit, he sounds like a great pairing with Greg Monroe.

And again, if the Ibaka/Ben Wallace comparisons are any good, Dumars would be sure to love him.

Then again, I could see DET opting for Knight or Kemba at that spot (both available in your scenario), or Kanter (if on the board).

The hype is real. He looked great against a gaggle of 2012 lotto bigs in the Nike Hoops Summit. He is a perfect fit in Detroit. If Biyombo is proven to be the age he says he is, he may end up going in the top 5.

Yep. Kanter would be the better fit with Cousins. I'm salivating the thought of a Kanter/Cousins frontcourt!

If Kanter isn't available at the Kings pick (which is likely), I wouldn't mind Biyombo with the Kings pick.

Hmm, Minnesota to draft two Power Forwards in the first round in Williams and a Morris .... interesting ....

I mean, I know the Wolves need a talent upgrade but with Love, Beasley, and Randolph primarily at the position and bleeding to the Small Forward spot, adding two more in the same area ..... can't say I see the logic there.

Derrick Williams will be predominately a SF at the next level. Markieff Morris can play center at the NBA level. There seems to be no ideal fit, because to hear a lot of Minny fans talk about their team, they have a player at every position.

There is going to be some overlap for Minny regardless of who I mock to them, but here they get a talent upgrade with BPA's and also fill some need.

Yup. That's the problem when you have lots of "potential" and nothing proven. I still think Barnes as a SF/SG may work better than Williams at a SF/PF, but I get where you are coming from if you rate Williams higher.

If Morris can play the 5, it could work, but just not Ideal as Center is the biggest concern for MN, imo, followed closely by SG (assuming Rubio at PG, yes, big assumption). An athletic 5 would be great, but just can't see Williams with the overlap at his primary position and Barnes seems to fit better with even with Wes Johnson drafted last year.
