That's just thinking for the present. If he develops he could be a future starter. He is someone I would definitely take a chance on, but looks like he'll go before us with how his stock is rising.

Isn't this kid likely to be in the Spanish league next year despite getting drafted this summer?

Well we need to move up. i'm sick of not having any shot blocking presense on this team.

As sixers fans were not used to it. We had Sammy for 8 years, Mutombo before that and before that we had Ratliff. We have consistently had a dominant shot blocker on our team for more than decade. Hopefull this season is just a rarity.

BB sounds really intriguing. Big guy and a huge wingspan. He'll get drafted high though. To much potential.

i seriously think this Biyombi cat...is out of our radar...unless some team is stupid enough to take Speights and our 1st to move up.

If there's a lockout, sure. But he has a manageable buyout and his goal is to play in the NBA.

I know there have been a lot of big man busts from Africa, and then the recent success of Ibaka. Did those other guys (like Sene) play at a high Euro level like Bismak? Or were they drafted without any experience?

Sene played extremely inconsistent minutes in a pretty poor Belgian league.

“The lockout is not worrying me,” Biyombo told us. “If there is a lockout, I can continue to play in Spain. I want to make a mark before I leave Spain. When I decided to enter the draft I spoke to my agent Igor [Crespo], and I said, ‘Igor, before I leave Spain, I want to put my name on the basketball court. So when I leave Spain my name will be remembered the right way.' About the NBA, I still have time to be on the floor, still have time to work, still have time to make myself better.

I want Bismack or Harrison Barnes. Get one of the 2 and I'm happy.

Jrue/Iggy/Barnes/Brand/Hawes or Jrue/Meeks/Iggy/Brand/Bismack

Which actually increases the sixers chances of getting him. From none to next to none in a year.

Next year we will see more tank jobs than usual. With multiple impact players at the top of the draft instead of just one.

Next year's draft looks stacked. It wouldn't be a bad year to have an off year. I like a lot of the prospects in that draft, both returning and current high school players.

So time to trade Elton and Andre for a bread maker?

I kid. Nobody uses a bread maker. Worst gift.

with all the attention this kids getting....added with his impressive physical tools, athletic ability, etc that would have likely shot him up draft boards as well during workouts.... its a pretty useless bangwagon to jump aboard for us, considering well be picking in the 17-20 range.
