I don't think for a second that Barnes plays SG at the NBA level. If he could, I'd agree with you.

There are no ideal center in this draft. If Minny had the balls to draft Jonus Valencius that early, they would be screwed big time if it did not work out.

First of all... bad Cammo! bad Cammo! You're you were specifically asked to make sure no one else picked Singleton before it's our turn. Second, no way Presti picks Singler over Taylor. Presti only picks superior athletes with solid character. Singler's got the character but he's no athlete.

I'd be shocked if Gilchrist goes that low. In fact I see the LAC taking him with Minny's pick, wherever it ends up. He's a perfect fit between Gordon and Griffin

His stock has been slowly moving in the wrong direction. He is a nice player who peaked early, but there are a lot of questions as to his ability to get much better than he is now. With so many high ceiling talents in this draft, it is going to be tough for Gilchrist to go that early unless he proves some people wrong.

He can be a very nice role player at the NBA level, but there are an awful lot of potential NBA stars here to take Gilchrist that early IMO. That said, it is early and a lot can happen before then.

There really aren't those questions... no idea why you would believe such nonsense.

Not sure how MVP-esque performances at the Hoop Summit and McDonald's AA game have hurt his stock. He has been highly regarded for awhile now, it is expected that he is going to get nitpik to death. Other high schoolers have stepped up and become "flavors of the month" recently, but Gilchrist has consistently been a top 5 guy. Dropping a few spots since his sophomore year in high school isn't "dropping off". That is consistency. Many guys gets ranked in the top 5 early on in high school and turn out to be nothing. That is what is called dropping off. Gilchrist is not like that at all. It is not his fault he has been on the radar for years. Very few guys have managed to stay in the top 5 for their entire HS careers and do so off more than raw potential. Gilchrist is the real deal and should be a top 5 pick.

To say he doesn't have a lot of potential is dumb. It is like you are using his already polished game and body as a negative. His first step isn't elite, but he is a great athlete and has plenty of room to improve. He already has all the intangibles that are hard to find in a kid his age.

I have the guy going #11 in a stacked draft, it is not like I think he is the second coming of Pat Garrity.

He is a kid who is much closer to his ceiling because he is more physically and mentally mature than most in his class. He went from being the best prospect in this high school class to borderline top 5 in the last year or so. That means your stock is dropping relitive to others in the class. As he moves up in levels to college and then the pros, being the most developed athlete on the floor will be less and less help. The kid is a very good player and a hard worker, so I think he will be a fine player and prospect, but the time when he was a top 3 pick in this draft class seems long gone.

But, as I said before, it is a long ways out and a lot can still happen.

Why would Toronto draft Sullinger when we already have Davis?

As a prospect whom do you like more, Williams or Irving?

I think Jeremy Lamb has #1 overall pick potential. How do you feel about that statement?

I was not too concerned with team fit because the draft is so far out. Though there is always room for a quality big, especially when Bargs might be traded and Davis, while a nice prospect, is still unproven.

This is a tough one. I have Derrick Williams at #1 on my big board and consider him the best prospect in this draft. That said, I would not necessarily take him #1 overall. I think Irving is very close to Williams and plays a more importmant and more scarce position.

To answer your question, I consider Williams to be slightly better, but it is very close. Team need would basically decide which I took #1. If you have a point guard already like Washington or Milwaukee, then clearly you take Williams. A team like Toronto or Cleveland who need a point guard makes it tougher and I would probably pull the trigger on Irving over Williams, even though I like Williams slightly better.

Too many talented bigs in next year's draft for that to happen. Lamb has a chance to be a top 5 pick, but it would be very difficult for most teams to pull the trigger on him over great big men like Davis, Sullinger, Jones, Miller, and McAdoo.

Lamb has a lot to prove still. He needs to show he can be the man with Kemba gone.

How is point guard not a very important position? They are basically the quarterback of the offense.

Can you breakdown Miller, Gilchrist, and Middleton for me? Hopefully more than just a single line for each.
